"Rick did an excellent job for our drywall repairs. He completed the job quickly and it looks great! We can't even tell where the drywall repair was done! We especially appreciate the extra effort he made to complete the job despite terrible road conditions . Will choose him again!"

"Kyle and Ally are an excellent team and provide complete project service beyond what typical contractors do. Very friendly and professional with innate experience and understanding of what the homeowner is after. Great network of subs and was there to coordinate their activities. Our home is new construction, we needed some additional electrical outlets and installed a jetted tub with tile surround and backsplash. Beautiful work! We are very pleased and would recommend Kyle to anyone. He is amazing with his care and cleanup, and he returns after completion to make sure he and we are completely satisfied."

"Jose has been professional from explaining the process to the lined items on the estimate. They kept the area and entry ways they are working in clean and confined. The finished work was immaculate. We could not be any happier with the service. We highly recommend and will most definitely be using ECCE for other projects at our hotel. We appreciate the quality of work!"

Drywall questions, answered by experts

Venetian plaster is a highly durable wall finish that becomes a rock-like substance once dried, making it last longer than most other wall finishes. Its lifespan can range from decades to centuries, potentially lasting a lifetime. Key factors influencing its longevity include the quality of the initial application, whether it's properly sealed against moisture, and how the wall is maintained and treated (e.g., how often it is touched or bumped). Due to its mineral content, it can also develop a patina over time.

The best tool for cutting a hole in drywall is a drywall saw. Its serrated blade and ergonomic design make it efficient for both straight cuts and more intricate shapes, ensuring clean and precise results in various drywall cutting applications.

A jigsaw is commonly used to cut holes in drywall. It offers versatility and precision, making it suitable for creating circular or irregular openings. When equipped with the right blade, a jigsaw can swiftly and cleanly cut through drywall, making it a good choice for DIY projects.

The cost to texture drywall depends on whether you want to do the work yourself or hire a professional. The cost of the drywall mud is far lower than labor costs for applying it. The labor cost to spray drywall compound onto a wall is between $0.80 and $1.50 per square foot, while you’ll pay between $1.50 and $2 per square foot for the labor to apply the texture by hand.

Yes, as drywall mud is going to have some uneven spots and bumps after application. Such imperfections are going to be visible after everything dries and even after you paint the wall, so you want to remove them. Learning how to sand drywall, taking your time, and following drywall sanding tips can help you have the best results.
