Small jobs welcome

"Sean did a wonderful job replacing a sidewalk square in front of my house that presented a trip hazard. He communicated well, showed up on time, & the price was reasonable. I would recommend him for any concrete needs."

Emergency services offered

"I have had two issues since they installed the new sump pump and irrigation. Issue number one was water still getting passed the new concrete. The other issue is that the new concrete was not level at all which has caused issues with the new flooring I installed. However, their customer service is top notch and will work hard to take care of you."

Concrete Mudjacking questions, answered by experts

Your Bend, OR, home is a great candidate for concrete leveling if the slab is structurally sound but has settled less than two inches due to our region's volcanic soil. The concrete must also be at least three inches thick. However, properties on steep hillsides, those with extensive root damage from Ponderosa pines, or slabs without proper frost footings are not suitable for this repair.

Helpful?

Homeowners in Bend often underestimate the short working season, which runs from May to October due to freezing temperatures, creating a spring rush for services. Other overlooked factors include difficult site access in hillside neighborhoods, the need for HOA approvals in many developments, and long-term maintenance like resealing to protect against intense UV exposure at our high elevation in Oregon.

Helpful?

In Bend, shortcuts during soil preparation are especially risky; improper compaction of our volcanic soil leads to re-settling. Another critical step is injecting polyurethane foam to the correct depth to account for the 18- to 24-inch frost line. Using the wrong foam density or failing to protect the cure from intense UV and wind will compromise the repair's durability.

Helpful?

In Bend, OR, concrete leveling is the right choice for sinking slabs, gaps next to your foundation, or water pooling after snow melts—all common issues from our volcanic soil. However, if you see cracks wider than a quarter-inch, extensive surface flaking from UV exposure, or settlement exceeding three inches, you will likely need a full concrete replacement instead of a leveling service.

Helpful?

For a successful concrete leveling project in Bend, OR, a professional needs key details about your property. This includes soil composition, drainage patterns during spring snowmelt, and the local frost line depth, which is typically 18 to 24 inches. Information on sun exposure, which affects freeze-thaw cycles, and the layout of any irrigation systems is also critical for a lasting repair.
