"Zane Davidson / Fireplace Specialists I am pleased to report is the man / business to contact should you need these services. Zane was professional and punctual. He extended every courtesy in setting up, and keeping our appointment. It didn't take long for him to demonstrate his expertise. My fireplace had been sitting dormant for five years, he had my fireplace up and running with new hardware in short order. I had put this off because I thought I would run into sales pitches to replace the entire unit, or a huge parts and labor issue. Zane asked for a fair price and had me fixed in 45 minutes. Should I ever need to replace the fireplace I'm going to call Zane to do the work. Whatever his price. If you have fireplace issues or work, I recommend Zane and his business without hesitation."

The length of time it takes to repoint your chimney depends on its design and the extent of damage, but generally, the process takes a couple of days. You can expect just one to two days for a small job or up to four days for a larger chimney or more complex project.

There isn’t a way to convert electric fireplaces easily or cheaply to gas. The process requires major renovations, as opposed to wood fireplaces, which are often already vented and have space for the gas-burning equipment. To convert an electric fireplace to gas, you’d need to remove your old fireplace and get a completely new install.

There are several maintenance tips you should take to ensure your pellet stove's safety and proper maintenance. You should vacuum the ash pan every week to prevent overflowing and clean the stove and surrounding vents every three to four months. It’s also important to get a professional inspection every year and install a carbon monoxide detector close to your stove. Be sure to dispose of hot ashes in a closed metal container; store it outside, away from the house. Or, you can place a container of charcoal inside the fireplace to absorb odors. Just be sure to remove it before it’s time to start using the fireplace again.
