"SRI is very tech savvy and provides a very competitive price for their work. The inspection they conducted showed us exactly where we needed to add insulation. The team that installed the insulation was very professional and highly efficient. They were in and out in a couple hours and cleaned up any residue that fell to the floor."

"My installer was very knowledgeable and professional. His team promptly installed the insulation and baffles, as I requested, and tried to clean up afterward. I was already sweeping the garage, so I declined. The cost was exactly as quoted. Would be nice if they made it an option to pay online. (Maybe thatâ s possible now.) There was an immediate improvement in the comfort in the home. I would highly recommend this company."

"Product exactly what I was wanting for replacement windows. Product comes with "life time" guarantee as long as U own the home. Hoping cust. service is as good or BETTER than the product. Ive read a few reviews where CS was not so great at satisfying the customer AFTER installation. Only time will tell. I do LUV my windows!"

"Knowledgeable, trustworthy, and extremely detail oriented. If your contractor is pickier than you are, then you know youâ re in good hands. I had an idea for a built in media console and shelving unit. Tyler came in for an initial consultation and did a great job of making sure he incorporated all of our wants and needs into the finished project. He finished the job on time, on budget, and I could not be happier. My go to for any projects in my home from here on out."

"They were fantastic! Worked with our crazy schedule, high quality of work, very professional, and overall we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. They did about 1100 sq ft of the house (all but one room) plus the repairs and trim installation for a great price."

Eifs Installers questions, answered by experts

Costs depend on window size, type, material, and labor. Custom shapes or sizes typically incur higher expenses; full installation includes removing old windows.

The average cost to install an egress window is approximately $3,900, with a typical range between $2,500 and $5,300, though costs can be higher. The final price is influenced by several factors, including the window's size, type, material, and glass quality. Other variables include labor costs, location, excavation needs, and whether permits or a structural engineer consultation are required. The price of the window itself often depends on the number of panes:

  • Single-pane: $100–$400

  • Double-pane: $200–$500

  • Triple-pane: $300–$800

Additional features like window wells or covers will also increase the total project cost. It is advisable to obtain multiple quotes from professionals to get a comprehensive understanding of the expenses for your specific project.

An egress window is similar to a regular window. However, this type of window opens fully to allow people to escape the home or rescue personnel to enter the home if an emergency occurs. Egress windows are required in all finished basements before they can be considered a living space.

Yes, egress windows are grandfathered. However, this comes with some specifications. If you are remodeling a basement or adding a sleeping area, you’ll need to update the egress windows to be up to proper code. But, if you’re leaving your home as is, you do not have to adhere to these requirements.

When you need new windows depends on a variety of factors, including the age of your windows, the age of your home, and the climate you live in. If you’re dealing with budget constraints, you don’t need to replace all your windows simultaneously.

When buying new windows, you should consider energy efficiency, safety, and aesthetics to choose the right window for you.
