"Fantastic. Booked only a week out from the call. Large professional crew arrived and did the entire roof in 7 hours. Clean up was complete. I didn't find so much as a nail. Payment was only requested after the job was done and I told them I was happy with the result. There were no hidden charges or BS. I wrote the check out for the exact amount on the estimate. Jerry's estimate came in from 1000 to 7000 dollars less than the other 5 estimates I got from Angie's list vendors. He's friendly, local, and great. No deficits to report."

"Atvantage roofing did and excellent job. From beginning to end . From the very first day when he came to give us an estament we were impressed with Charles dipman  we were only looking to roof the back of our house but when he came and looked at the whole roof he told us we  had wind and hail damage to our whole roof and that we could   claim it on our home owners insurance and that we did!

. He was here when the insurance adjuster came and went thru it with the adjuster and got enof of  a claim to roof our whole house.  WE would  not have known we had a claim with our insurance  if he had not told us that.  we are very grateful for that. he did an excellent job  in roofing our home  there were no problems everything  went smooth. Advantage roofing is a very good company  We would use him again for anything and would and will recommend his company to anyone. our roof looks great we are very satisfied.  Thank you Charles for all you did.

Roof vents are an essential part of a roof, as they promote energy efficiency by keeping warm, humid air at bay. The roofing material, especially asphalt shingles, will not last as long as it should (about half of its manufacture life) if the attic is not ventilated. Venting a gas water heater out of the roof is preferable in most cases. Heated exhaust gases naturally rise, so a vertical vent pipe is efficient. If you’re trying to vent through a pipe exiting a wall, the angle of the pipe may be more horizontal than vertical, making the venting system less effective. If you go through a wall, you may need to add a fan to ensure a successful expulsion of the gases outdoors.

You shouldn’t put a new roof underlayment over an old one for a few reasons. Old felt must be removed in order to assess the condition of your roof decking, such as rotting wood or other structural issues. Also, if your roofer doesn't install a fresh layer of felt as is required by shingle manufacturers, your warranty may be voided. Finally, old underlayment removal is often included in the cost of roof repair or replacement, so there's no real benefit to leaving it on before installing a new layer.
