Customers say: Terrific value

"Doug's team was timely and very knowledgeable. He and his team kept me updated every step they took. Our fireplace turned out better than we hoped. He converted our fireplace into a gas log fireplace, repaired our chimney, and also gave us a remote. His and his team's customer service is excellent. Thank you!"

"If you've got a chimney (or even if you are just thinking of getting one) why would you use anyone else??? Daniel has received Angie's Super Service Awards in the past, and he deserves another one! He kept me informed as to when he would arrive, he showed up exactly when he said he would, he went out of his way to respect my property, and his knowledge and expertise about all things chimney are fantastic. His professionalism is tremendous, and reminds me of how things used to be. Besides that, his prices are fair and very reasonable! I had a complicated problem involving water intrusion into the house, and he was able to diagnose some solutions and execute them. He made two trips to the house. We just had 3 inches of rain and nary a drop came in the house. I was thrilled with his work, and I am telling all my friends and family about Soot Busters. He gets an A++++ and then some! He's a gem."

"I am very pleased by my service from All Day Chimney & Dryer Vent. They gave me a call the morning of my service appointment to let me know they were on the way. Upon arrival, they went to work to service my fireplace chimney and my dryer vent. The work was done in a timely manner and you could not ask for a more friendly professional job. I especially want to thank Robert for a job well done!"

"I didn't realize chimney cleaning was so easy. All he did was attach a chimney sweeping tool to his drill. I could do that myself for much less."

Chimney Sweep questions, answered by experts

The first step is removing water or chemical residue, if applicable, after extinguishing. Next, your professional will clean up soot, remove damaged materials, treat the smoke damage, and complete any necessary structural repairs. After that, your pro will begin the build-back process and install finishes to restore your home to its previous condition.

Ozone smoke removal uses an ozone generator to eliminate stubborn odors from sources like house fires, wildfires, or cigarette smoke. Ozone (O3) is a highly reactive and unstable gas that effectively neutralizes smoke odors through a process called oxidation. It 'donates' its extra oxygen molecule to the organic compounds causing the smell, altering their structure and eliminating the odor, with oxygen being the primary byproduct. This method can be effective on building materials and furniture. However, because improper use of an ozone generator can be dangerous to your health, this treatment is best left to a professional.

Yes, carpets should be replaced after a house fire or significant smoke damage, even if they appear undamaged. Smoke, soot, particulates, and chemicals can penetrate deep into the carpet fibers and padding, making complete removal a complicated and time-consuming process. If water was used to extinguish the fire, it can also soak through the carpet and padding, creating a risk of mold and mildew growth. Due to these challenges and potential health risks, replacing the carpet is the safest and most effective solution.

Solar panels that haven’t been properly inspected and maintained pose several risks to homeowners. Firstly, a dirty, obstructed, or malfunctioning solar panel won’t be able to generate as much power, which could lead to power shortages and wasted money. But more importantly, neglected solar panel arrays can become dangerous if left for too long. Corroded wires and exposed circuitry are fire hazards, so it’s strongly recommended to keep up with regular maintenance to protect your home.

Yes, a seller is legally required to disclose any known fire damage when selling a house, including damages that were repaired. That includes damages to structural components and all major systems, as well as water damage, chemical damage, and smoke damage related to the fire. Sellers use a property disclosure statement, which is regulated by each state individually, to disclose fire damage.
