"Communication started back in November 2011. Actual work was started in July 2012. Partly due to some requirements analyzing was the reason why work did not started until July 2012. Work was deemed completed per contract on my delivery of the last check on October 23 2013. Since completion, the breezeway served as a transversing room with storage on the sides. The main room it leads to is serving in capacity as a small workshop, mainly dealing with wood. The brightness of the lights was very adequate and so is the power delivery from the existing breaker. About a year has passed and I can feel confident I can continue to have the workshop still in service and use. Pictures that are attached showed accumulated additional work of my own accord - window treatments, painting, floor sealing, roof replacement due to hail, but the structure is most definitely sound so far. The lifetime structural warranty solidifies in my mind the soundness of the expanded structure. Jess continued to check on me even after the work has been done. I will soon have his referred HVAC specialist to analyze solutions for bringing in more cool air to the room (cool air was being delivered, but it was not enough for comfortable capacity alongside tool operation - in my opinion) He was very professional in all dealings and despite the slow start (mainly from my follow through), work was done in a relatively timely manner. Communication throughout was solid, accommodating slight changes along the way. Great contractor to work with. Jess knows who to deal with and provide a solution to my overall requirement: A insulated (and for the most part, climate controlled) room that gives expanded dedicated proper space to work in and a new home for all tools that once reside in a not so ideal two car garage.

It is more difficult to drywall a ceiling than it is to drywall a wall, but not so hard that DIYers can’t tackle it. One of the main issues with hanging drywall on your ceiling is getting it into place. Drywall isn’t light so, if you are hanging full drywall panels, you will need at least two (it’s better with more) people to hold the panel while you drill it into the ceiling as a single piece can weigh between 40 and 60 pounds and will need to be held in place for up to 10 minutes.
You should not leave drywall outside, especially overnight or in a wet, humid climate. Exposure to rain and humidity can damage the drywall, weakening its structural integrity and making it susceptible to mold growth. If you must leave drywall outside during a project, be sure to cover it with a tarp or keep it inside a storage shed to protect it. Even drywall intended for exterior projects requires a protective moisture barrier. For best results, store any extra drywall in a dry area away from the elements.
A post-drywall inspection could uncover many problems that weren’t present during the pre-drywall inspection, including insufficient insulation, missing weather stripping, improperly installed plumbing and lighting fixtures, flooring damage, drywall damage, plumbing leaks, aesthetic issues, and more. Structural problems, which are often expensive to fix and are common reasons to walk away after a home inspection, are easier to see before the drywall goes up, but a post-drywall inspection may highlight minor issues with house settling and foundation problems.
You can put drywall mud over paint to even out the surface or entirely resurface it. Sand the surface with 280-grit sandpaper, vacuum the debris and dust with a shop vac, and clean it with a slightly damp cloth. Allow the surface to dry. Apply drywall primer, especially if you’re skim-coating an entire wall. Apply the right type of drywall mud over the surface and smooth it with a trowel. Allow the layer to cure fully, then sand it before applying another layer or painting it.
There are some instances when you can use extra drywall in your garden. Ideally, unused scraps of new drywall are best for amending soil without the concern of additional chemicals or mold.
