How often you need to paint your home’s exterior depends on various factors. The type and quality of the paint, the application quality, the surface material, and local weather conditions all play a part in the paint’s longevity. 

Painting a driveway can be a good idea for specific situations. It offers aesthetic improvements, helps protect the surface from UV damage and stains, and can extend the driveway's life span. It's beneficial for driveways in relatively good condition that need a refresh or color enhancement. This largely depends on your environment and how well the paint was sealed. Properly sealed chalk paint furniture that isn’t regularly dinged by toys or steel boots can last 5 years or—often significantly—longer. However, if it isn’t sealed correctly or is subject to regular wear and tear, you can expect the coat to last 3 years or less.

This may come down to personal preference, but it’s generally best to paint the ceiling before you paint the walls. Why? Painting the ceiling can be more physically demanding, and painting the ceiling last may result in drips or splatters that would mess up freshly painted walls. By painting the ceiling first, you’ll avoid having to touch up walls after any painting accidents. It may not matter, though, if you’re painting the ceiling the same color as the walls.

You can use paint rollers up to five times with proper care. Reusing paint rollers up to five times shouldn't affect the quality of the paint application, but if you try to use it any more than that your paint job will not be as smooth. You can use roller frames and paint trays indefinitely.
