"We apologize that we missed the target delivery date on your order. Although we custom manufacture over 50,000 windows every year, each order and customer is important. Certainly in all aspects of business, accurate communication is critical and this did not meet the high standard of service that we strive to achieve. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us if there is anything we can do to assist you in the future."
"Thanks for the great review, [Member Name Removed]! It was a pleasure doing business with you. Hope you're enjoying your new Thermal Windows!"
These windows are excellent. Our house holds the temperature much better than before. Also have noticed the noise level from the outside is greatly reduced. These windows are the best you can get!
When the window was ready (when promised), the installers arrived on time!
It took about and hour and a half, and the window is beautiful! The quality is amazing, and the installers did a wonderful job.
There is a lifetime warranty on this product, and I have no doubt it would be honored.
Great job Thermal Windows:)
"As the review states, the windows in question were installed in 2012. We were not aware of this issue until now. Typically, 1" exterior window trim is not mitered. We don't recommend mitering the corners because, due to weather exposure and movement of the house, they are more likely to gap over time. However, we do seek to please our customers. Currently, we have additional windows for this customer in our warehouse. We are ready to schedule installation when he is ready for them. If he prefers mitered corners, we are happy to do it for him. It is our hope that he will be very pleased with the results. John Batts General Manager - OKC"
Everything went really well. The crew arrived on time and began doing prep work such as laying down tarps and bringing in supplies. The crew focused on one set of windows and began by removing my existing windows. As one set was being finished, they began on the next set. The windows look fantastic and the low-E glass and argon gas made an instant difference in the comfort of the 2 rooms involved. Everything was caulked well and looks great.
The instant the crew finished, I wished I had had my whole homes windows replaced. I will definitely be using them again in the future for the remaining windows.
Our first experience with Thermal Windows occurred in 2003, when we replaced windows on the street side of the house. In January, 2015, we hired them to come back and replace the remaining windows. TW's staff is very detail oriented and personable. They check and double-check measurements; review the order details with the customer at least twice to ensure accuracy; and thoroughly clean the construction area after installation is complete. You come home to a perfect yard, and perfect house with brand new windows!
We researched multiple window manufacturers in 2003, and decided that aluminum windows had the longest track record next to wood, historically; and were less bulky with slimmer frames. After replacing our 1959 contractor windows, all noise in the house ceased. It was an amazing transformation and a superb investment in our home. We recommend Thermal WIndows highly.
We are very happy with the purchase and installation. We had replaced our windows in Tulsa with Thermal Windows and were very happy with the product, installation and price. That is why we opted to go with Thermal Windows in OKC. We feel like they sell a good product with professional installation. Everyone we have dealt with @ Thermal Windows has always been courteous, friendly, professional and knowledgeable. A good company with good employees.
"As a company which strives very hard to maintain our excellent reputation and A+ Angie's List rating, we are always disappointed when our customers are not completely satisfied with their purchase. One of the most difficult tasks in guaranteeing a satisfied customer is managing expectations, which might set them up for a let down. Caulk is used for many purposes in construction. For typical homeowners, it is commonly used for things like sealing sinks and tubs, covering gaps in trim and sealing small cracks before painting. In many cases, a fine, thin line is perfectly adequate and preferred. When it comes to replacement windows, caulk serves to seal the window opening from air and water infiltration. However, one of its most important jobs is as an adhesive to hold the window in place over time. Windows are screwed through the frame and into studs in order to "pin" the window in place. Insulation is added around the perimeter. The caulk, which is a heavy-duty construction sealant, is then run around both the inside and outside of the window. Once this adhesive cures, it forms a strong, solid bond between the window and the surrounding structure. At Thermal Windows, Inc., we recognize that proper installation is critical to insuring the long-term performance of our products. For this reason, we adhere strictly to established industry standards, as well as the stated application recommendations of sealant manufacturers. In accordance to these standards and recommendations, a typical caulk joint should be a minimum of 3/8" thick. This allows for, at least, 1/8" adhesion on each side of the joint and adequate coverage over the joint itself. The structural components of a window opening and the replacement window placed in that opening expand and contract at different rates as temperatures change. All are exposed to the brutalities of extreme weather. While a neat, thin caulk line might be prettier, and it might be perfectly suitable for painting or sealing a bathtub, it is completely inadequate to guarantee the long-term viability of a quality window installation. As for this customer's comment regarding the windows as cold barriers, both our TrustGard Vinyl windows and our Thermal Barrier Aluminum products feature thermally-improved frames, which are far superior than those they typically replace. Our glass units feature only state-of-the art components. Years of positive customer reviews and test results which consistently exceed industry standards confirm that our products are, indeed, energy-efficient. Many factors - including wall and attic insulation, siding, windows, HVAC equipment, etc. - play important roles in determining the comfort level of a home. We cannot guarantee that window replacement alone will make all the difference in a home which often feels cold. They should help, but other factors may need to be explored. When reading the above review, we hope prospective customers will thoughtfully consider this response, as well as the many very positive reviews left by the majority. Regards, John Batts General Manager - OKC"
