"Powerlift came highly recommended from a colleague. However, our experience was much less than desirable. Steve came out and gave us a quote --he was very personable and polite. When the crews arrived and began their work, apparently there was some "extra" work that needed to be completed before they could continue. This extra work almost doubled the already extremely high price --from around $18K to $32K. We were told that the cracks in the bricks might not appear differently and that we would need to have them repaired but with the piers we should have no further issues. BTW -- the landscaping was a mess! Bushes were left unplanted and concrete piles were randomly distributed around our property --super messy! We did hire a mason to repair all of the cracks outside and a contractor made repairs in our sheetrock. Today, you cannot even tell that we spent 32K to get things fixed. We have cracks in our brick exterior and cracks in our sheetrock. Steve did come back (twice) and each time makes some excuse of what is happening but of course, it is not due to the work that they did. :( I am totally disappointed every single time I walk out of my front door. I would not recommend."

"I strongly caution anyone considering this foundation repair company. From the beginning, they gave us false hope, assuring us that our foundation issues would be properly resolved. Unfortunately, that was far from the truth. Not only did they fail to correct the actual problem, but the piers they installed were done incorrectly and not even placed in the proper locations. It’s clear now that the work was rushed and not thoroughly planned or executed with the care it deserved. We’re now left with unresolved issues and the added burden of hiring another company to fix their mistakes. I would not recommend this company to anyone looking for reliable or professional foundation repair. The stress, cost, and time wasted simply aren’t worth it. *picture caption: Triton’s piers (highlighted in yellow) were installed 2 feet away from the fireplace. Both a well-constructed deck and a patio can add value to your home. Patios are generally cheaper to build but don’t offer the same aesthetics as a quality deck. Therefore, decks can be more appealing to buyers than patios, increasing a home's resale value.

In most cases, you’ll want your patio to be 4 inches thick, although you should add reinforcement and increase the thickness up to around 8 inches if you want it to support heavier loads and resist cracking more readily. Although thicker slabs will cost more, you’ll start seeing diminishing returns at around 6 inches.

About 6 inches between the edges of each stone in the sequence is common. Rather than sticking to 6 inches, some people measure the length of the entire path and adjust the space between stepping stones a couple of inches wider or narrower than 6 inches to make sure the entire path fits the length perfectly without having to cut a paver at either end. Other people prefer a design with a 24-inch distance from the center of one stone to the center of the next stone, which matches the stride of an average-sized person.
