"The Advent technician was very quick, very professional, and willing to answer all of my questions.  Without question, one of the most pleasant/professional repair events I've encountered.  Again, when compared to other local HVAC businesses, their prices seemed to be fair/quite reasonable.
On to the details, the technician troubleshot the faulty A/C, and even prevented the loss/additional damage of another one of my A/C components.  While I'm not an HVAC expert, I was quite thankful for his expert, honest, and speedy service.

"Comfort Concepts was already booked for the entire day, but they managed to squeeze both the estimate process and repair process in between other customers. Even though they were so busy, they made time for us. It was fantastic. It was only about six hours between when we called them and when our entire motor had been replaced. We couldn't have asked for a better experience."

"Repair pro was very professional and easy to work with. He had to change out a couple of parts, one new part was faulty so he returned it and installed the new one. AC is working very efficiently now! Would recommend this business to famil and friends, and neighbors"

"Joey provided options for system replacement at my mother's home, and offered as detailed an explanation as I wanted about any aspect of the job. He was great at communication such as asking me to call with any questions I might have. He kept all promises made about installation of parts, timing of install and cost of install, which was more reasonable than the estimate provided by the AC repair company I typically used. His staff were polite and professional and the install felt stress free. Joey offers quality products, along with great warranties, and maintenance free of charge for several years on his installed product. I have never been so pleased with any trade service provided to me over the years, as I was with this gentleman. I recommend him 100%. I have plans for Joey to replace my own ac system and provide insulation due to his professionalism and care for his clients. I will also use his services for maintenance from now on."

"I have used them for several years. I have a VIP plan that is about $30monthly.The plan is a great savings and it also puts you as a priority same day service if you are on it. One summer when it was really hot, I had to call them when my air went out. When I called them, they came out and repaired it immediately. Their technician’s stay the same and they are a good company overall. I continually use them over time as I love them!"

Humidifier Repair questions, answered by experts

During your HVAC preseason maintenance call, your contractor will inspect the system for any problems and make small adjustments for better efficiency. Tasks include, though are not limited to:

  • Changing filters

  • Checking the thermostat

  • Clearing away dust and debris

  • Checking for mold

  • Inspecting electrical elements

  • Inspecting condensate lines and drain

  • Cleaning evaporator coils

  • Ensuring ignition function

While you can do some of these services yourself, hiring a professional to keep HVAC equipment running can be helpful. These experts know what to look for and may be able to spot potential issues before they become problems. Many HVAC companies offer annual maintenance plans.

Air conditioners and dehumidifiers are actually quite similar, though they perform different jobs. Dehumidifiers reduce moisture in the air, while air conditioners work to cool the home. A good central AC unit will naturally perform a certain level of dehumidification due to its design, but it will not be able to handle excessive levels of moisture.

Whole-house humidifiers work, but the home itself determines their efficacy. If you have a drafty house or an old home with wooden floors that leak air and moisture, the humidifier must work much harder to keep moisture levels constant. Because of this, we recommend doing an air test of your home to determine the best type of humidifier and any work that needs to be done to install it.

The average whole-house humidifier might last 10-15 years. Regular maintenance can help the unit last longer. Keep in mind that houses in dry climates use humidifiers more frequently, which may exacerbate wear and tear. A professional can help you determine if it’s time for a replacement.

A whole-house humidifier can positively impact energy consumption by improving heating efficiency. During colder months, humidified air feels warmer, which allows you to lower your thermostat without sacrificing comfort. This adjustment can lead to significant energy savings as your heating system works more efficiently. However, it's important to use the humidifier judiciously, as excessive humidity could potentially strain your cooling system in warmer months.
