"Corey Brown is a tile and grout restoring and sealing wizard. His work is impeccable and his attention to detail exacting. While young, he is old school in his professionalism, work ethic, consideration of homeowner's space and time. He also clearly and thoroughly explains all aspects of the work he will do and the aftercare you will want to do to keep your floors beautiful for years and years. Corey resurrected our 15-year old tile to brand new status in bathrooms. He rehabbed our gooky shower to a well-sealed and snow-blinding sparkle. He also colorized our newly-installed tile grout and completely harmonized all grout with the perfect color that blends the tile and makes it look like it is floating. Awesome jobs all around and we would recommend anyone looking to clean, seal, rehab or otherwise deal with tile to Corey Brown's The Grout Doctor. T. Hull, Norman, OK"

"Wry well. Andy was friendly and efficient. His recommendations were well thought out and functional. Quick worker without seeming “rushed.” At other visits, I even had Andy do some duct maintenance in the attic and some minor auto work."

Granite Restoration questions, answered by experts

While caulking is handy for quite a bit of jobs, it’s still limited. Any crack or gap larger than 1/4 inch is best left for a more intensive repair job. When you hire house painters, they should run a thorough check to see what they need to repair before they start the job.

Large repairs that caulking typically won’t do well with include cracks or holes larger than a 1/4 inch, rotted wood, or metal surfaces, such as garage doors.

While DIY kits are available for minor stone polishing, larger restoration projects benefit from professional expertise. A professional can ensure an even, high-quality finish, handle stain removal, apply proper sealing for long-lasting protection, and guarantee the work's durability.

Both buffing and polishing increase the longevity of your floors by removing scratches and buildup, but they are different processes. Polishing removes the top layer of your floor, removing surface-level scuffs and scratches. Buffing your floor involves filling the scratches and scuffs with a buffing solution. No matter which method you choose, you can rest assured that both techniques will leave your floor looking shiny and new.

Some of the cheapest ways to change granite countertops without replacing them include painting, honing, or changing the finish, covering them with tile or laminate, and using countertop contact paper. Dollar for dollar, applying countertop film is the cheapest, easiest, and most reversible way to update the look of your countertops. No matter what you choose, remember that permanently marring the original countertops can cost you money when you’re trying to sell your home, so make smart choices and preserve the integrity of the granite.

Use pH-neutral cleaners specifically designed for stone surfaces to clean granite or marble. Avoid acidic or abrasive cleaners that can damage the sealant or the stone itself. Regular re-sealing helps protect the surface from stains and damage.
