We've been so impressed with James Garcia's craftsmanship and work ethic. He refinished our kitchen & master bath two years ago, and just completed a clean sweep of every door, cabinet, window sill, wood trim and baseboard in the house. Our house is 30 years old, but the woodwork looks brand new. James is polite and professional, and the pricing is fair. Highly recommended.

They came out in December and sanded my cabinets down and sprayed them with something for the paint to stick but it's been peeling ever since then. Then they had been out to put more coats on the cabinets and they're still peeling. UPDATE: Since my original post Mr. Garcia has come to my home and completed everything I addressed. I am very pleased with the service as well as the integrity of the company. They did an excellent job! I will definitely recommend them and absolutely use them, again.

James was as always very professional and thorough. We had some spots that  had been scratched by some cabinet handles. he fixed those and went on to freshen some areas that we had worn a bit. It all looks fabulous!

We had our kitchen and bathroom cabinets finished with Gleam Guard. We had a pickled finish and went to a dark walnut color. We didn't want to spend the money on new cabinets or have the mess and smell of stripping and staining. Using Gleam Guard was the best choice! Very happy and pleased with the results!! recommend highly!!

Weather contributed to an hour late first day start. David and Kenneth began with lots of cleaning and prep of cabinets. They were patient with my indecisiveness on paint choice, but it was up to me to provide all the supplies, and multiple trips to the paint store. There was some misunderstanding on how much paint would be necessary which required yet one last trip to Sherwin Williams at the end of day one. I was surprised at the small amount of progress at the end of that day, though they insisted they would only need another half day to finish the job. In my opinion, there was a lot of chatter and an overall lack of organization that contributed to this. A beginning and end time were not established before starting, so I was surprised at how late they wished to stay and work, though I did agree to let them stay until 7:00. They were half an hour late for day 2 also. One worker seemed much more diligent than the other, and also much more conscientious about doing a good job. The change in paint color on the lower cabinets required many more coats than expected, but there was quite a lack of attention to detail in the painting. Several times I had to point out areas that were missed, drippy, or unacceptable. Though they were gracious and agreeable to fixing them, never giving me any bad attitude. The two workers got into a spat during the middle of the second day. I made sure to tell them each that I had contracted them to do a job and I expected it to be completed to my satisfaction. Each spoke with his supervisor, and I also called him to let him know this had occurred, and that I still wanted the job completed in an acceptable manner. He agreed this would be done. Job was finished up at about 6:00 the second day, for a total of about a total of fifteen hours of work by each of two employees. I'll be checking to see if the job was done satisfactorily and how well it holds up. 
James, supervisor, called that evening to apologize for the disagreement between the two men. He assured me that he would stand behind the job and guaranteed my satisfaction. I appreciated the way he handled the situation and believe he is working very hard to build a respected business in OKC.

James and David are awesome!  I am doing some simple remodeling of kitchen and bath by installing new counter tops.  I didn't want to go further into budget with new cabinets so I called James Garcia. 

He was very prompt in keeping his appointment to provide a quote.  I liked him so much we closed the deal that day.  Wow! Am I glad!  My kitchen and bathrooms look amazing!

Just yesterday we got the new counter tops installed.  Well I was sickened to see that the old counter tops hide the upper edge of the cabinets!  So I called James to see about quoting me a touchup.  Well guess what folks?  There is no charge because of he 5 year touch up warranty!  I don't know of anyone else more thoughtful in offering this service!

These guys are just amazing.  They respected my time and my home.  Very clean and very polite about the use of my personal space.  I felt so comfortable with them that I even ran some personal errands and left them at my house.  They are just great guys very easy to talk to very good listeners.  I just can't say enough except I am going to have them do the rest of the house.

James and David came in and cleaned, sanded where required and patched the aging cabinets in our kitchen and laundry room.  Took 3 days and the end result was beautiful.  We are happy to recommend James from Gleam Guard and his crew.

James and David did a wonderful job. We are very pleased with the results. They work hard and the cabinets look great. Their estimate was fair and there were no hidden charges or surprises. We had been skeptical whether the wood could be brought back to its original condition but we were so pleased that we had them come back to refinish our utility room. This was a superb alternative to replacing or refacing the cabinets and bookcases. We definitely would use them again and recommend them to friends and family.

Made an appointment through the Tulsa HQ for 9 am on Saturday morning, I was skeptical given it was the day after Independance Day. At 8:59 am, James was at my door! 
We had recently installed new countertops and in doing so, exposed 1" of unfinished wood at the top of the existing 16 year old cabinents with a hand pickled finish. James analyzed the colors and technique used and did a sample section so we could see what the end product would look like. He quoted us a reasonable price for the repair which we immediately approved and he went to work. We are extremely pleased with the outcome, I know what to look for, and I can barely tell the refinished area from the original.
We were so pleased, we had James refinish the handrails on our staircase also.
Beautiful work, James is a craftsman and a really nice guy.  We would recommend him highly.  We intend to use him when we remodel our Master Bath.

Recently, we had our kitchen, bathroom, laundry room cabinets and some built-in bookcases restored with Gleam Guard.  Our kitchen and bathrooms had some water damage on the cabinet fronts from regular wear and tear.  The end result was amazing!  All of the woodwork looks new and you can't  tell where the water damage was located.  The colors that were hand- applied after the cabinets were cleaned matched perfectly with the present woodwork.  There wasn't much downtime or mess involved.....  not like you'd expect with a regular woodwork refinishing process.  The work is guranteed for five years and they will come out and touch-up for free.  Cleaning the cabinets now only requires a damp cloth and in some cases, mixing only a little water and white vinegar for stubborn stains.  We highly recommend Gleam Guard for their great product and professional service.  James Garcia is the person working in the Oklahoma City area.  He can be reached at (405) 588-3006.  James and his crew will do a terrific job for you!

Our woodwork was very scuffed and scratched  and now it looks great!  James and his crew were very polite and very diligent about doing a thorough job.  They reported to work on time, stayed late to get the job done, and cleaned up each day.   We are very pleased with  the job they did.  This young man is a pleasure to work with.  The company has a 5 year guarantee and free touch up also.

Mr Garcia arrived promptly, demonstrated the process he uses to refinish/restore cabinets.  The process met our needs and he completed the work the same day.  Our cabinets were challenging as the color of stain on the cabinets did not match the stain on the island.  Our cabinets are not solid wood as they are veneer which made the job more difficult.  Though he spent about 13 hours completing the work, he only took a few very short breaks.  With our approval, he stayed late to complete the work on the same day which worked out good for us. I think Mr. Garcia took time to do a quality job. He seems very dedicated to his craft and pleasing the customer.  We are very pleased with the result of his work.
