"I was delighted with Pool Concepts. I had a fairly small job to do and was treated as if I were spending a million bucks, from first introduction to filling the pool. We even have a pair of ducks that visit every night! Can t wait to swim."

"I waited about 6 months prior to writing this review, so I could fully reflect on the process, price and quality of the pool. As I reflect on my overall experience and satisfaction with my pool, I can honestly say Im happy I contracted with them and fully believe no other installer in Oklahoma would be able to install the quality of pool I received for the price. Tim was a great educator on the process and personally designed the layout for my backyard. After we completed our landscaping, everything tied together beautifully and I could not imagine how awesome the end result would be. Understand, installing a pool is stressful and expensive when all is said and done. I wanted to wait on this review, until after the dust settled and I could fully reflect upon the experiences, both good and bad. I was a somewhat demanding customer, in that I wanted numerous provisions made, during the process, which were well outside the original contract. Tim and Carlos were good sports about this and did their best to accommodate my needs to the best of their abilities. Whenever I had concerns, they would listen and work with me until an amicable resolution was achieved. Well, this wouldnt be a fair review, unless I included some pros and cons. My personal opinion is that when executing a complicated project, such as a pool, there will always be hurdles that need to be overcome. Pros: -Quality of this pool is exceptional and I believe the best in Oklahoma. Gunite is standard in Oklahoma; however, Tim and Carlos include 12 in. thick gunite for all their pools. ***This came in particularly handy for me, when I needed to drain my pool to reduce Cyanuric Acid build up*** -Based on follow-up requests, Im 100% confident that Tim and Carlos will stand behind this pool, whatever the issues may be. They also offer an additional year warranty over what Pentair provides. -Following up on the last pro, they use quality Pentair products and install the wireless control center on all pools. From my research, these Pentair products are superior to those in the current market. -Carlos and his team of contractors were all amazing folks. The people who tied the steel and plumbing were the most spot on organized and professional team of workers Ive ever seen. I knew after watching them, I made a good choice. -Other pool companies charge change fees, every time you make an adjustment. This is a problem, because, not understanding pool construction created many changes in our contract. Im certain this will be the same for anyone getting their first pool. Tim took much of the red tape out of what could have been a frustrating process. -Turn around time. FAST-Out of characters, cant go on. Now for a few Cons -Im sure it was due to a high demand for pools at the time, but I think there could have been better communications and / or expectations set in the beginning. As I stated, Tim does sales and Carlos does the contracting. I personally wish there was more transparency between those roles. -Tim knows his pools and has very definitive opinions regarding what works best. Many times hes correct, and Im glad I took his advice, but it would have been nice to have more choices presented to me up front, regardless if they were good or bad in Tims opinion. -This is probably not possible in the contracting community in Oklahoma, but having a better understanding of when contractors will or wont be here would have alleviated a lot of stress during the construction process. All this aside, I personally believe no other contractor could have done any better with my pool. Summary- I stand behind my 5 star rating and fully believe I received the best price and quality of any contractor here in Oklahoma. If I were to build another pool, I would contract with Oklahoma Waterscapes again."

"Shawn and his crew went above and beyond to make sure everything was done to meet my expectations. Shawn actually exceeded my expectations. I would highly recommend him to anyone who needs help with their pool needs. Too bad I can only give a 5 star rating. I would give a 10 if I could."

Pool Construction and Installation questions, answered by experts

The longest part of building a custom home is the design phase. It takes multiple professionals and a ton of work to bring your vision for your dream home to life while sticking to a homebuilding budget and also ensuring everything is built to code. Expect the design phase for a custom home build to take six months to a year.

Soil testers and licensed excavators are often the professionals you hire if you need a perc test. In some cases, structural engineers will also be able to conduct the test for you. In many municipalities, you’ll need your professional on-site to dig and fill the holes with water, as well as a representative from your local building department or health department. That representative is the individual who will determine whether your test passes or fails.

If you can’t find any records online, you’ll need to contact your county clerk’s office to do further research. They should have property records on file, or can at least point you in the right direction of who to contact. You can also speak with your neighbors about when their houses were built because they were likely built around the same time.

If a buyer pays for a survey, the surveyor they hired will only provide results to them. It’s up to the buyer whether they share the survey results with the seller or not, even if they ultimately walk away from the deal. It’s considered good faith to share the results with the seller, though, especially if you back out of the deal, as the seller can then provide that survey to future interested parties.

If you or your mortgage lender think your land survey needs to be more accurate, double-check the survey report and get at least a second opinion from the original surveyor and an inspector, if possible. Although it’s unlikely, even reputable surveying companies can make mistakes. An inaccurate survey can cause problems down the road in the case of any property line disputes, so it’s best to resolve any inaccuracies as quickly as possible.
