1) Gold Medal: was in the middle on price, but have a great showroom and sales person (Erik Gieger) was very professional 2) Robertson Pools: Long standing reputation and did a good job of explain what things were and how the process works. Liked them. Fair pricing. 3)Riverbend Sandler: really good people, almost went with them. Probably should have. Fair pricing, professional and good showroom. 4) Summerhill Pools:fairly responsive and reasonable pricing. 5) McGee Pools: Owner came out to meet us, never heard from him again. No response to emails or calls 6) Puryear Custom Pools: very nice people, fair pricing and professional. Came close to using. 7) Another small company that I can't remember the name of. We evaluated all the quotes and visited each of their showrooms (something I encourage you to do). We had them explain their building process to us and timelines. Erik was very professional and GM had a very impressive showroom that demonstrated what they could do in building our pools. Their first price to us was over 20% higher than any other company (which should have deterred us). We told them that their pricing was not competitive so they came back on price and were now roughly 10% higher. We went back and forth a few times and honestly we were considering Riverbend (which we probably should have used), but my wife liked Erik and their showroom is very impressive. They also had so many references, should have called them ;-) My wife is an attorney so she modified the contract, which was set up on a draw system that gives them % of the money during different checkpoints during the building. The one thing that saved us was that she set up their final draw to be ONLY AFTER the punchlist was completed. The other key lessons for us here were to make sure exactly which equipment they were using (They are horrible about substituting cheaper stuff), agree exactly how much decking you want (they charge a fortune to add so estimate high and give back if you don't need), make sure you know your sewer and gas lines are nowhere near your pool or include moving in the price and pick exactly the stone/tile/finish you want as costs increase exponentially after contract is signed. They final piece was that they estimated completion to be around 2 months...wow, that was wrong! They had given us a complete planning book that showed how each step was supposed to work, it turned out to be a joke. They showed up to sketch out the pool and we met our foreman (Gene Hunnicutt nice guy, completely incompetent and they source of many of our problems so if you really are going to use them you don't want him on your project). They marked out the pool and the next day the digging crew came. This part was actually very painless, sadly this is where the good experience ends. They finished in two days with a huge hole in the yard and our fence open, this would remain this way for the next FIVE months...in the digging process, they stacked all the dirt up against our side fence and also ran over the fence them removed from the back (shattering it). They next step was to come and put in the rebar that frame the polo and spray in the gunite for the pool. This is where started seeing the real mistakes. When they designed our spa, they promised us a Captain's Chair (which is basically more jets in one area that helps you back), but unfortunately the foreman missed it on the plans and it wasn't put in. They also designed our tanning ledge too small so that you couldn't even lay on it without falling into the deep water. We called their attention these two mistakes (the foreman didn't notice they forgot the captain's chair). They literally stopped work on our pool and vanished for over four weeks. Our backyard looked like a warzone with trenches all over the place and trash literally everywhere in our yard. Made for a nice Christmas dinner to look out at that. I've enclosed pictures. We had to keep the doors locked so that none of the kids would go our there as one kid actually hurt himself by falling over the trash. They finally came back in January and admitted they messed up on the captains chair, but were not willing to add it as required them to remove some of the gunite and relay the pipes. We finally agreed they would give us a bit of a discount on the firepit we were thinking of adding and moved on. It was fairly contentious and they were not willing to work with us (they knew we had a hole in our yard). They extended the tanning ledge, but charged us for it (even though it was their mistake). Through out the process, they would tell us, we come next week and it was a crapshoot whether they did or not. it became a running joke in the house (we work next week). The next phase was supposed to be the decking, which they had told us during the selling process that they come out and mark with us using spray paint so we get it right. Unfortunately, like everything else they told us, it didn't happen that way, they came out and put rebar in for the deck and completely got it wrong. It was not designed according to the drawings (one area had less than 1' around the pool and the firepit was against the fence). We called them that night and told them what happened (the foreman was MIA again) and they told us that it was already in and if we wanted to change it was going to be $15per ft, which was a 100% premium from what they had charged us in the original proposal (they kill you with change orders). The discussion got very hostile and the owner, Josh Sandler, got involved. He was a complete jerk, he told my wife that he was a big company and we could either deal with it or they would walk off the project. We ended up having to pay part of the difference (for their mistake) and the foreman came out to mark the changes with spray paint. He still did it wrong and was trying to short us on deck (surprising how every mistake was in THEIR favor), fortunately I checked it and went out remarked it giving us what we paid for (I knew their lack of attention to detail would help me) and they never noticed and did the deck as it should have been done all along (yet costing me another $1K). Sadly they had grossly miscalculated the size of the deck needed for our BBQ area so we have a bar that you can't sit at half of it because it was so close to the edge of the deck that you would fall off the deck and down the hill the created. We had to pay another $1K for someone to come and fix later (they would never come back and fix this). Pictures attached. Finally in March (5 months after start), they put the plaster in the pool itself and as usual had no focus on quality, they sprayed it all over house so we had to have someone come out and clear it off our stucco. They put in our LED lights, but of course, cheated us again and put in smaller SEVI lights even thought the contract said full LED. Two of them were broken and didn't get replaced for another three weeks. Our pool didn't get filled with water until mid April, a full six months after we started. We literally had our backyard full of trash for more than 5 months!! The only that saved us and got them to finish the project was that we had changed their contract to say the final payment would not happen until AFTER the punchlist was complete so it forced them to give us our pool remote (which they tried to avoid), remove trash (which was literally all over yard), fix broken stones around the pool, correct improperly installed equipment and put our fence back up (which they tried to put up the broken one). Overall, what I can say is they are the two different companies in how they treat you, the selling part is excel"},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/tx/frisco/gold-medal-pools-and-outdoor-living%2C-inc-reviews-2079348.htm"},"position":5},{"@type":"ListItem","item":{"@type":"LocalBusiness","name":"COMANCHE HOME CTR","address":{"@type":"PostalAddress","addressRegion":"OK","addressCountry":"US"},"review":{"@type":"Review","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"Brenda H."},"reviewBody":"The Comanche Home Center did an excellent job installing my hardwood flooring. She is very well known in Coppell, so we selected her to be our listing agent on our $800K house after meeting with her a couple of times. She talks a great game. We signed a contract with her to be our listing agent for 60 days (she told us, she could sell our house in less than 2 weeks). She recommended a price that seemed a bit high to us, but she was the expert. She showed us 4 comps to validate her price, which ultimately we followed. Her camera team came in and photographed the house (this they did very well), it was beautiful house and she managed to capture its true image well. However, this is where things start to go South. We put the house on the market on a Tuesday and had four showings the first weekend. Which again sounded great. Strange thing, no real feedback from Eva (positive or negative). We have another showing the following weekend, then it goes absolutely quiet. We didn't have another showing or hear from Eva for over 3 weeks. We thought something happened to her. We quickly learn that Eva's specialty is collecting listings, not selling them. She absolutely had no ideas for us on what do and would take a week to return phone calls. Through out this process, we had virtually no feedback. Then she comes to us and says, put a seller's bonus in 1% of sale price. Little did we know at this point that one of her friends had a client who already told her that they had been waiting for our house to go on the market for 6 years and that they really want it (and had come and seen it already that Saturday). They come to see it again and give us a very low ball offer. She advises us to take it, really? Who side are we on here? We of course, do not and counter close to our listing price. They counter again and half way up from their initial offer. We give them another 1% off the house and they accept. Through out this entire process, Eva is telling us to take what they offer us. If we had listened to her, we would have lost over $50K... She disappears again. We meet the buyers during the inspection and they are nice people (Doctor) who share the story of how they saw the house on the way home from breakfast and that they told their realtor "THE HOUSE" is on the market, we want it. We get their punch list and it has some reasonable items and a few "lets see what we can get them to pay for items". Once again, Eva tells us, we should just do it all. We counter them back with a reasonable request and they, of course, accept it. As I get to know him, he shares with me that the two agents are friends and that our agent was helping "telling them what they could get from us" and had already spoken when she got the idea to put the bonus in (which we find out that she really had never posted so other agents could see it, but just shared with her friend). The day the house closes, her assistant calls my wife and rudely demands for the "staging items" to be pull together for her. The staging items consistent of two hideous red towels my wife hid, a $5 plastic bowls and fake looking fruit that we put in a bag (all from Target). Again, we don't hear from you for weeks and you have to stalk us to get $20 worth of stuff back (you just made $40K on the house!!!). We literally never heard from Eva again. Shocker...if you have ever seen American Beauty, Annette Benning's character is a very good representation of the person that Eva is. In sum, she made no effort to actually sell the house, we found out that many times she actually didn't call other agents back and stood up several agents when they did come to show our house and ultimately worked against us during the closing process. She exemplifies the image of low-life real estate agent. She took our money and never even bothered to say thank you. There are so many good agents out there (we compare to the agent who helped us find our new home - Pari Faroodi who was utterly amazing) that you should never waste your time and money with someone with such low scruples as Eva Bauer.

Previously he had successful hung a few big screen TV for me, but messed up hanging a large mirror that fell and ripped a chunk from the wall (we gave him the benefit of the doubt). He showed up on time to install our sinks. He installed two sinks in our master bathroom and in the process left all of his trash (old sinks, packaging and stuff) in a pile in the middle of our floor. We also noticed that he had installed the one sink backwards (hot on cold side). He also installed two sinks upstairs in our guest bathrooms and left similar messes up there. He installed the p-trap incorrectly on the drain and created a situation where it flooded underneath our sink (slow leak that we didn't notice right away). We made him fix the sink in the master while he was there. What made us angry (besides the mess he left us) was his attitude and the fact that he was riding the clock on us (he bills by the hour at $75 per). It took him almost 7 hrs to install four sinks, which should have taken roughly 3-4 total hours (as we learned when a professional installed some others). We didn't learn about the mistake he made in the upstairs bathroom until later when we noticed water underneath the sink. Fortunately, we caught it before it had done real damage, but could have very easily flooded the house if we were unlucky. When I raised the issue with him, he got very rude with me and told me that we rushed him. (really, 7 hrs?). i saw a side of him that I didn't appreciate and would not want around my family so took the time to share this review. He was ok at the electrical piece, but would not recommend him for anything plumbing or area where craftsmanship is important (he was sloppy). FAQs for putting green installation projects in Colbert, OK
Landscapers typically charge $25 to $50 per person per hour, which equals around $50 to $100 per hour for a two-person crew. These rates can vary depending on your location, the size of staff needed for the job, and overall job type. For example, a larger crew will be needed for structural additions and hardscaping versus planting flowers.
When it comes to landscapers, licensing laws vary. Landscaping architects are required to be licensed in all 50 states, whereas traditional landscaping contractors are not typically required to hold a certification. You’ll likely be working with a landscaping contractor for most residential projects. If you are redesigning your whole yard or adding in hardscape features, you will work with a landscaping architect at some point during the project. Be sure to check our state licensing tool to review the local landscaper guidelines.
As you browse our pro listings, take note of the “Angi Approved” badge. Angi Approved businesses meet our standards for certification which include:
The owner, principal, or relevant manager passed a criminal background check
Required to have applicable state and local licenses
Maintain an average star rating of 3.0 or better on our network, if they have at least one review
Paying to advertise their services
Meeting any other eligibility criteria required by Angi
Keep in mind licensing is different from certifications. A license is a legal requirement to operate a business, while certifications are voluntary.
The average cost of playground equipment installation is around $500, and most homeowners pay between $330 and $700, excluding the cost of the playground equipment itself. Your total project cost will depend on site preparation requirements, playset size, design complexity, number of accessories, and the swing set materials. Don’t forget to account for the cost of playground surfacing, which can cost between $15 to $160 per cubic yard or $225 per cubic yard for poured rubber.
The cost to install a basketball hoop can range from $200 to $5,000. This price heavily depends on the type of basketball hoop you choose, as some require equipment and some do not.
For example, you can most likely assemble a portable basketball hoop yourself, with a cost of $150 to $500. However, if you're looking for something more permanent, a roof-mounted hoop requires specialized tools and roof anchors, costing a total of $2,000 to $5,000.
Rubber mulch is widely considered the best material to place under a playset. This material option provides more cushioning than traditional wood mulch for added protection, remains cooler than sand and most other materials in direct sunlight, and it’s low maintenance. Rubber mulch is slightly more expensive than other common options at $120 per cubic yard on average, whereas pine bark mulch is $30 per cubic yard. But when it comes to your children’s safety, the investment is worthwhile. Consult your playground equipment installation company about material recommendations before starting this project.
