"There was a team of three who worked together on this project and completed it in about four and a half days. The first day was spent tearing out the tub, shower, countertop, vanity, and toilet. Then they installed the new shower, Jacuzzi walk-in tub, vanity, toilet and the electricity for the new tub. We were able to use the new tub and shower while we waited for the new countertop to arrive. When it got here, they installed it and the faucet in a couple of hours. The team was very efficient and neat; they cleaned up after themselves at the end of each day. Josh Robertson was the lead on the project, and he was a very good communicator. We were able to call him prior to the start of the project to check on the status of the materials and to inform him of the status of the materials we were providing. He worked with us to schedule the start date for the project and kept us informed of the progress and any issues throughout the process. We were very satisfied with the results! "
"This was an Angie's "Big Deal". John called within a few days to get my projects on his schedule. I've learned that when I purchase a "Big Deal" through Angie's that it takes awhile to get on the schedule. We agreed to a date and a specific time (2 pm) about 3 weeks out. I called the day before the appointment and confirmed. He sent text to let me know he was a little behind; no problem for me & it was only about 30 minutes off schedule. Most providers give a larger appointment window (like between noon and 5pm). I appreciated having an specific appointment time. Many contractors I've dealt with are disrespectful of a customers time & arrive hours or even days late. I'd say 30 minutes late was on-time in his business. Work performed: Removed 2 sets of 72" wide mini blinds Installed 2 sets of faux wood blinds in their place Re-installed one of the 72" mini blinds in a different window Removed 3 other sets of mini blinds in another group of windows (including the hardware) Carried everything to trash Removed a walk-through doggie gate (easy task) Repaired door that would not shut. The hinges had been put on upside down by a previous handyman; I had to remove the strike plate because the door didn't close. After John fixed the hinges, he installed the strike plate and my door finally closed tightly. Repaired/cemented a loose stone on the front steps. The drawer in the kitchen is wobbly. It's the old kind with the rollers on the bottom (instead of along the side of the box). John identified the problems (worn out rollers and slides); can't be repaired without parts I did not have on hand. John worked at a steady pace and completed the work within the 2-hour time frame. Yes, would use again. I'm already making my list and checking it twice.

"This is the fourth remodeling project I’ve contracted over the past 25 years. Two of them were minor and two major resulting in four different general contractors. Based on this experience, I am providing this assessment of Roger Allen. This project was one of the major projects, including: moving walls, adding walls, electrical, network and satellite cabling to every room; numerous new lights – cans, sconces, florescent; stone floor in about half the house; travertine tile shower, bath, and jet tub; marble overlays; three granite counter tops; new windows, duct work, all new solid wood doors, etc. This was major remodeling. I contacted several general contractors and received bids from three. One contractor was unimpressive – no creative ideas or suggestions on the remodel. Just agreed to whatever I said. Not helpful at all. The second contractor was severely over priced. The third contractor was Roger Allen. After giving him a tour and describing my ideas; he jumped in and came up with alternatives in material and fixtures. The end result is exquisite. Glass blocks, marble overlays and granite tile room boarders gave this house a million dollar look. Removing old fireplace bricks and replacing with granite tile that flowed the color scheme from the kitchen into the family room tied it all together. The tile and granite craftsmanship was outstanding. His tile guy is a true artist with stone and granite; the smallest detail was set perfectly. The rough-out and trim guys were equally talented. All employees were professional and courteous. Roger showed up every day to inspect the work and ensure that his employees knew their job assignments for the day. One of the walls that I requested moved was not perfect; he had them tear it apart and rebuild it. Truthfully, it was so minor that I wouldn’t have noticed the mistake. However it was a good example to me of the quality of workmanship that Roger’s company provides. For the record, I’m not associated with Roger Allen nor am I receiving any compensation for this review. I’m just very pleased with the value and outcome of my new house. I recommend that you include him in your bid process. Ask him to show you pictures of my master bath and fireplace."
