Small jobs welcome

"Time will tell, but concerned that their solution may be costly. Rather than someone local, they hooked me up with a company that they called, to ship chemicals, etc. that I will need to administer. One has to hope that this takes care of the mold issues that we have. Now are we going to have to pay someone else too recheck if we still have issues."

Mold can damage the surface it’s growing on, cause mold-related sickness, and even affect your upper respiratory system.

Vermiculite insulation can be hazardous if it contains asbestos. Asbestos fibers, when released into the air and inhaled, can pose significant health risks. The EPA recommends leaving vermiculite insulation undisturbed to avoid potential exposure. It is crucial to have vermiculite insulation tested by a certified professional to determine if it contains asbestos. If asbestos is present, proper precautions should be taken, including containment or removal by licensed abatement professionals.

Rust in your bathtub occurs when iron in the water or on metal components in your tub are exposed to oxygen, but while it’s unsightly, it won’t make bathing dangerous. However, if the rust appears under or around your tub spout or shower head, it could indicate that you have high levels of iron in your water. Drinking water with small amounts of iron in it usually doesn’t pose a health risk, but you might want to consider installing a water softener. The presence of iron could indicate that you have hard water, which can create some plumbing issues.

Water damage doesn’t always cause mold and wood rot, but it can. Both mold and wood rot require moisture in the wood to form, so water damage that continues to leave water or moisture behind can lead to both issues. Water damage and mold often go hand-in-hand, but you can prevent mold growth after water damage by addressing the source of moisture and drying out the area quickly. The same goes for wood rot. The longer you let water damage go, the higher the risk of mold and rot.

Water damage occurs when your property or items suffer damage due to excess and unwanted water or moisture. The water could be present due to a natural disaster such as a hurricane or a burst pipe—water damage can be caused by many things. If necessary, contact a local water damage restoration company.
