"My son had a whole house generator installed by this company. Very pleased. I had a whole house generator installed also. Had a water softener installed too. They did a great job. Very friendly and skilled workers. Came on time and finished on time. I couldn't be happier. Fair price, great products and great service. Could not ask for more"

"Tri-County Electric Services was able to send a plumber out the next day to provide estimates for a few projects in my home. Chris M. arrived at my home and was professional, knowledgable, straight forward, and friendly. He quoted me fair prices to install a new toilet and new kitchen faucet, both of which I had previously purchased independently and had at home ready to install. I was very happy that he was able to complete the installs that day. He also fixed a minor leak below a bathroom sink. All around a great experience! I will definitely hire them again for future plumbing needs. Chris explained that the company recently added a plumbing division to complement their electric services. Thank you for a job well done!"

"Very well. The All Electric Inc. electrician, Ashton did an excellent job in a reasonable amount of time. He was knowledgeable and neat as well as cleaning the area when the project was finished. I would consider All Electric and definitely Ashton for any future projects. Thank you, Henry Miller/Campbell, Ohio"

Generator Install questions, answered by experts

In Youngstown, older homes with narrow side yards, stone foundations, or limited outdoor space can complicate generator installation. Watch for sloped lots, mature landscaping, or overhead utility lines that may affect placement. Homes built before 1920 may require creative routing for electrical connections and extra planning for concrete pads, especially if your property has clay-heavy soil or tight property line setbacks.

Helpful?

To keep generator installation safer for families in Youngstown, OH, choose a spot at least five feet from windows, doors, and outdoor play areas. Install a secure, lockable barrier or privacy fence around the generator pad to prevent access by children and pets. Schedule installation when kids and pets can be supervised indoors, and avoid placing the unit near high-traffic walkways or backyard gathering spaces.

Helpful?

In Youngstown, OH, frequent power outages, sump pump failures during storms, or HVAC disruptions in winter suggest you may need generator installation. If you’re noticing flickering lights, tripped breakers, or uneven floors, address those electrical or structural issues first. Installing a generator is most effective when your home’s wiring and foundation are stable, ensuring reliable backup power during local outages.

Helpful?

New homeowners in Youngstown should begin with a professional electrical assessment to confirm their system can support a generator. Secure the necessary permits for permanent installations, then prioritize a whole-house standby generator with a transfer switch and proper grounding. If working with a smaller budget, consider a portable generator with a manual transfer switch. Plan installation for spring or summer and prepare for snow removal in winter months.

Helpful?

For generator installation in Youngstown, OH, keep an engine block heater for cold snaps, snow shovels and ice melt for winter access, and a waterproof cover to shield the unit from rain. Store extra air filters, a battery charger, and fuel stabilizer for gasoline models. A multimeter is helpful for checking electrical connections, and concrete patching compound helps maintain the generator pad through freeze-thaw cycles.
