They presented us with a timeline at the beginning and it was accurate throughout the project, even ending a few days early. This helped us know exactly what to expect, when payments were due, and what days we needed to have decisions made such as paint colors. The crews were professional and kept a clean worksite. "Very poor communication. Typical fluff to get the sale. Said they would do the job “no later than” last week of July; started mid-August. Said job would be done in “no more than” three days; took eight days. Left job early one day for a picnic. Installed caddy in the back of the shower without consulting us about where we wanted it. Have to purchase a new caddy after paying extra for the built in one. Left driveway filthy. Primised to clean but never did. So not worth the money."

She was very friendly to work with and always very responsive to our inquiries. We also enjoyed working with the job foreman (Greg). He was very communicative and we really felt like he treated the project as if it were his own house. Finally, the owner (James) was terrific to work with. Yes, he's the owner, and yes you expect him to eventually make sure that a quality product is delivered, but he did all of that and more. He really took ownership of everyone else's work and made sure we were happy with the end product. Plus, he's just a fun guy to work with!"

"Finished Basements Plus was wonderful from beginning to end! First, they came out quickly for an estimate. I had 4 estimates and theirs was by far the best. (2 of the estimates were more than $20K higher than for the exact same work). Beyond their fair pricing, the work was excellent. They started within 4 weeks. I have an old home, so plumbing and electric were not easy, But they handled it with ease. Tile work for the bar and shower are beautiful. Gorgeous cabinetry. Great carpet and flooring. Best part was that they did it all! No extra work for me. Everything was included, no surprise costs. Picking out selections was easy and quick. Anytime I called Todd with a question, he immediately called me back and took care of any minor issue. Everyone on the crew was kind and respectful. It added so much to our home! Great play space for the little one, guest suite for family, wonderful area to entertain. It is perfect!"

We had originally worked with Matt back in 2019, and finally in the Spring of 2025 were able to begin the project. Every step of the way was very well executed. The initial plans were clear, concise and accurate. During the construction phase we got to know our builders Mike and Tom, who are absolute rock stars and know exactly what they are doing. We built a very large screened porch with some tricky roof integrations which required the utmost skill and confidence. Everything was done exceeding our expectations and we loved working with the team at River Mill. The build team was incredibly conscientious while working around our home, they would spend extra time sealing off the work areas to limit dust and debris, cleaned up their workspace daily, and were "Meticulous" about their craft. I felt as though they put the same care and effort as if they were working on their own home. They were very flexible and willing to make and discuss any design changes needed.
