"Rich, Jeff, and the crew were tremendous. They took our basement from an unusable space to a luxury retreat. They were able to configure a full bathroom, separate laundry room, rec/living area, and even added a LEGO room for our 3 kids with only a limited amount of sq ft to work with. Their craftsmanship is amazing. We had several special requests that other contractors had balked at, but they were enthusiastic about them, and even offered further suggestions. We are thrilled with the job they completed, and we are looking forward to working with them again in the future. Absolutely recommend Legends Home Innovations to others!!"

"Great! I had my weather stripping replaced due to the draft I was having coming through my door. He was fast and made sure the door closed properly and no draft was present. I would definitely hire again when I'm ready to make some improvements in my home!"

Bathtub Replacement questions, answered by experts

The impact of a walk-in tub on home value depends on various factors, including market demand, demographic preferences, and overall home features. While some buyers may view it as a desirable accessibility feature, others might see it as a niche amenity, potentially limiting the pool of interested buyers. However, it could add value if the walk-in tub meets specific needs or enhances the property's appeal to a target demographic. Ultimately, its effect on home value varies case by case, with factors like installation quality, design, and neighborhood trends playing roles in determining its impact.

Yes, $5,000 is a healthy budget for a DIY bathroom renovation. It can go a long way in making the space more accessible and stylishly spa-like. Providing you stick to modest materials and don’t make any major plumbing or structural changes, you can upgrade fixtures, retile, and add some stylish bathroom accessories and savvy storage solutions to maximize the space.

A standard bathtub can be used for soaking, but they tend to be shallower (between 15 and 18 inches deep). A soaking tub is designed to be deep enough to totally submerge yourself in the water (about 20 and 24 inches deep). Additionally, most soaking tubs are freestanding, while regular bathtubs come in various styles with drop-in, surround, and wall-mounted options available.

The overflow drain and wastewater drain connect to the same main pipe to take water away from your bathtub. Your overflow drain is meant to prevent damage to your bathroom—especially the floor around your bathtub, where excess water can quickly create a mold or mildew problem.

Fiberglass tubs last between 10 and 15 years or more if they’re well-maintained. Proper care will help them last as long as possible. However, fiberglass bathtubs are prone to cracking, fading, and scratches over time. Bathtub installation by a plumber is one of the best ways to ensure your tub has the right support to last its full lifespan.
