"Very friendly and performs good work. They kept me inform of when they would be at my house. I appreciated that they cleaned the area very well before they left. They cleaned the chimney and the dryer vent and repaired the chimney cap. I will definitely use Green and clean again."

"Joe did a fantastic job in cleaning the ducts! My home is a little over 50 years old. Joe indicated that the ducts have never been cleaned. He mentioned that this job gave him a sense of accomplishment and I'm very pleased that they won't be anymore dust (or at least not what I've had in the past)!"

"It went very well--people on the phone were very polite ("thank you for giving us opportunity"--when was the last time you heard that? ) The company representative came promptly on a cold snowy day. He put down drop cloths to keep my floor clean. He explained the work and did a nice job. When I pointed out one hidden vent in a closet, the gentleman thanked me for pointing it out and promptly cleaned it. Cost is based on number of furnaces"

"John was very professional and thorough. He would be the first company that I would recommend for duct cleaning. I could not be more satisfied with the quality of workmanship."

Deck Cleaning questions, answered by experts

The choice between Trex, a brand of composite decking, and PVC decking depends on your priorities regarding budget, appearance, and environmental impact. Both materials are durable and resistant to moisture and insects. Trex is often considered more eco-friendly because it contains recycled wood and plastic and is 25% recyclable, while PVC is fully synthetic and harder to recycle. Aesthetically, Trex is designed to look more like real wood, whereas PVC often has a glossier, more plastic-like finish. In terms of cost, Trex is typically less expensive than PVC.

There are approximately 5.33 board feet in a 2x4. You can use the board foot calculator in this article to easily find the answer. A 2x4 is 2 inches of thickness by 4 inches of width, so you need to find the length, with 8 feet being the most common. You’d use the calculator here to multiply 2 times 4 times 8, and then divide by 12, arriving at a total of 5.33 board feet.

It depends on the type of wood. The average cost to build a deck out of pressure-treated lumber is $15 to $25 per square foot, but more affordable varieties such as bamboo and cedar cost less at around $3 to $10 per square foot. However, when comparing the cost of vinyl decking versus wood decking, it’s important to also consider ongoing maintenance costs. For example, most woods require regular sealing to keep them protected against weather and rot.

Building a deck is often worth the investment, not only because it provides more utility to your yard and gives you more space to entertain but also because decks tend to add value to your home. Keep in mind that second-story decks often require concrete footings, which means they will bump up your property taxes, while decks built on the first story generally don’t require a permanent foundation and won’t affect your taxes. Even with the tax increase, decks are usually a good investment in the long run.

The “best” material is in the eye of the beholder, as each common decking material boasts its pros and cons. Poured concrete is the best budget-friendly option, but composite wood brings high-grade aesthetics without breaking the bank. Wood is the most traditional material, but it requires more maintenance than some other materials. In other words, do your research before settling on a deck material to find the one that’s best for your pool.
