"Joe did a fantastic job in cleaning the ducts! My home is a little over 50 years old. Joe indicated that the ducts have never been cleaned. He mentioned that this job gave him a sense of accomplishment and I'm very pleased that they won't be anymore dust (or at least not what I've had in the past)!"

"It went very well--people on the phone were very polite ("thank you for giving us opportunity"--when was the last time you heard that? ) The company representative came promptly on a cold snowy day. He put down drop cloths to keep my floor clean. He explained the work and did a nice job. When I pointed out one hidden vent in a closet, the gentleman thanked me for pointing it out and promptly cleaned it. Cost is based on number of furnaces"

"After getting estimates from several other companies to solve a problem with our chimney falling away from our house and getting suggestion on everything from jacking the chimney up to a complete reconstruction of the chimney, we called QPS. The office staff was very friendly and sent Rob out to look at our situation. He arrived on time and provided us with several options. We opted to remove the chimney completely and have the siding repaired since we haven't used the fireplace in 30 years. The crew arrived as scheduled Friday and got right to work. In a day and a half the chimney was gone, the siding replaced (they managed to find white aluminum siding to match our 50 year old siding!) and the mess was cleaned up and they were packed up and gone. Very nice guys who were respectful of our property. I would not hesitate to call them again or recommend them. Thanks Rob and crew!"

"It was wonderful. The whole experience was very pleasant. The technician was polite and professional. He worked steadily the whole time he was here. He cleaned up after himself. He went out of his way for me because at the time I wasn't well. When we went to Home Depot to buy the supplies he went and brought me the handicapped shopping cart and taught me how to use it. At the end of the shopping he picked me up at the door. No swearing occurred. He also asked if there was anything else he could do for me so he did a few other small tasks that I couldn't do for myself at the time. So he did those for me as well. When I need work done for the house, The House Doctors are the people I call."

"John was very professional and thorough. He would be the first company that I would recommend for duct cleaning. I could not be more satisfied with the quality of workmanship."

Deck Cleaning questions, answered by experts

PVC decking might be long-lasting, but this synthetic material lacks the natural aesthetic or sustainability of wood decking. If you want to match your decking to your new garden furniture or just freshen up the faded surface, it’s not usually possible to paint PVC decking. When comparing PVC to composite decking, PVC is pricier and more prone to warping in hot regions.

The “best” material is in the eye of the beholder, as each common decking material boasts its pros and cons. Poured concrete is the best budget-friendly option, but composite wood brings high-grade aesthetics without breaking the bank. Wood is the most traditional material, but it requires more maintenance than some other materials. In other words, do your research before settling on a deck material to find the one that’s best for your pool.

Whether composite decking is better than wood depends on your priorities, especially regarding budget and maintenance. Composite decking offers superior longevity (30 to 50 years) and durability, and it is low-maintenance, requiring no sanding, staining, or sealing. In contrast, wood decks typically last 10 to 30 years and need refinishing every few years. While the upfront cost of composite is higher than wood, the reduced maintenance can lead to long-term savings. If a lower initial cost is the primary factor, wood is the more affordable choice.

The cost to build a deck around a pool typically ranges from $3,000 to $12,000, depending on the size, material, and whether you tackle the build yourself. Most people pay an average of $5,000 for their pool deck project. Hiring a pro to build a pool will cost you more for labor, but it will be worth it to ensure a safe and secure installation.

When sourced responsibly, the most sustainable wood decking options are timber trees like redwood, pine, Douglas fir, Nootka cypress, and Western red cedar. These tree species are fast-growing with low carbon emissions. Plus, most timber woods make durable deck materials because of their resistance to rot and decay over time.
