"This was an absolutely professional and expert job from start to finish. I needed insulation installed to replace the old insulation in my attic. The scheduling was easy, communication was flawless from start to finish, the job was done right and quickly, and my house was cleaned up at the end. Additionally they are insured and let you know that right off the bat. Absolutely recommend this company!"

"We discovered we had an animal in our attic late on a Saturday afternoon. I found Buckeye Wildlife online and sent a text to the provided number. The response was immediate. They were there on Monday, racoon removed by Tuesday morning. They provided full service from pest removal, removal of contaminated insulation, cleanup, disinfecting the area, replacing insulation, and closing the entry point to keep the evil critters out!! I met 4 different employees in the process and each was professional and easy to work with. The main person on our case was Jake. That guy was AMAZING. Hard worker, great person, above and beyond!!! I have already recommended them to friends and will continue to do so."

"Mice problem in 4400 sq ft of attic; they removed all insulation then disinfected and sanitized the area. Installed new thermal, acoustical, and pest control insulation. Inspected and sealed any exterior entry points. Also included food traps. Josh and his team are fantastic, very professional. They communicate at every step of the way. Cleaned up at the end of every work day. Would 100% hire them again."

"The team arrived promptly and they were very respectful of my mother's property. The two young men were very polite and professional. I appreciate uniform professionals and that they were. They were very helpful and informative as well as explain and show me everything I needed and wanted to know throughout the entire process. Unfortunately, we need it the job done ASAP and we're not able to utilize the energy saving coupon that was offered to our family. Apparently, the process takes four to six weeks to get approval to be able to utilize the rebate from the utility company. Overall, we are very happy and satisfied with everything in lieu of the final contract price. The price of the job was well over the high end of the insulation estimate that the HomeAdvisor website stated. Furthermore, we were offer a military discount to help offset the final contract price. Thank you Green Solutions. Hopefully, in the future you guys can work out something with the utility companies so that your customers can a utilize the rebate upfront and not wait four to six weeks to go through the entire assessment process. Good job gentlemen"

Drywall Insulation questions, answered by experts

You should start looking for a drywall installer by choosing a local company with positive online reviews and ratings with the Better Business Bureau (BBB). Next, confirm that the professional is properly licensed using Angi’s contractor licensing tool, and ask the installer if they are fully insured. It’s a good idea to ask for recent customer references and call them to get their honest opinion about the contractor and their work. You can also ask the installer if they guarantee their work or provide a workmanship warranty.

Venetian plaster is a highly durable wall finish that becomes a rock-like substance once dried, making it last longer than most other wall finishes. Its lifespan can range from decades to centuries, potentially lasting a lifetime. Key factors influencing its longevity include the quality of the initial application, whether it's properly sealed against moisture, and how the wall is maintained and treated (e.g., how often it is touched or bumped). Due to its mineral content, it can also develop a patina over time.

Most drywall used for interior walls of homes is 1/2-inch thick. This size strikes a balance of being easy to handle and hang while being thick enough for the durability needed on interior wall applications.

While it’s most common to sand plaster dry, it is possible to wet-sand plaster, too. Doing so can reduce the amount of plaster dust released into the air and make it easier to work in smaller, more delicate areas (such as around wall trim). However, some people find that wet sanding leads to more imperfections, which is why larger walls are more often dry sanded to ensure an even finish.

There are several benefits to wet-sanding drywall, but the main perk is that it produces far less dust than dry-sanding. As a result, wet-sanding poses fewer health risks and makes less of a mess in your home. Plus, damp sponges are less abrasive than sandpaper, so there’s a smaller chance of scratching or damaging the drywall paper. Wet-sanding also creates a smoother finish than dry-sanding.
