"Process was straight forward. I explained what I wanted. They built it better than I was imagining and am very happy with the finished product. I am planning on hiring them again for a bathroom remodel in the not so distant future."

"Mike (Owner) responded to me quickly and once he got an idea of the horror my family had gone through, over 30 days with no hot water, he stayed in touch and had Bob out here to assess what we needed. Light years from the 3 idiots who came before. Once we purchased a new water heater Bob picked it ip that day and he and Donald got it Installed that evening . I will be calling them again."

Small jobs welcome

I have been an electrician going on 10 years. I can do pretty much just about anything from installing/servecing generators to in home additions and improvements. I do competitive pricing and try to be as affordable to the homeowners as I can while still giving premium experience. Being the only one and being busy i have a hard time answering calls, it would be better if you text me with any questions you might have

Ceiling Fans questions, answered by experts

Generally, a ceiling fan should be mounted at least seven feet from the floor in the center of your room with a wall clearance of around 18 inches. If your ceiling is more than eight feet high, it’s recommended by experts that the ceiling fan be mounted around eight to nine feet from the ground. This helps ensure a better quality of circulated airflow.

If your home already has wires for a ceiling fan (and optional light kit), then it’s quite safe to wire and install it yourself. Always be very careful to shut off the power before you begin, and confirm that the power is safely off with a non-contact voltage tester before touching anything. It’s also highly recommended to use eye protection, rubberized gloves, and tools with rubber handles to keep yourself safe from electric shock.

The number of blades for your fan poses both advantages and disadvantages. Typically, the more blades on a fan, the better the air distribution and cooling effect, but this also means that your fan will have more wear on its motor. For small rooms, three-blade fans should work fine. For larger areas like living rooms, four or five-blade fans might be the better option.

Yes, you can install a ceiling fan where a standard light fixture is, as the electrical wiring is often similar and may not need to be replaced. The most important step is to ensure the ceiling can support the fan's weight and motion. You will need to replace the existing light fixture's electrical box with a fan-rated electrical box, which is specifically designed to handle the extra weight and vibration. These boxes will be labeled as suitable for ceiling fan support and will indicate the maximum weight they can hold. Before you begin, also consider if you need an extension rod for a high ceiling or a special mount for an angled ceiling.

The more surface area that a ceiling fan blade has, the more effective it will be at producing airflow. Therefore, a longer ceiling fan blade is the better option if you’re looking for more wind. However, a longer blade will consume more energy than a shorter blade.
