"Recently purchased 107 year old home.  One side of stone foundation had crumbling mortar joints and missing stones. Needed repaired and tuck pointed. Woody came out examined the foundation and masonry work and had an estimate with in one hour of getting my call.  Very knowledgeable about very old masonry work.  Work was completed in 2-3 days by himself and crew or 2-3.  Went to great pains not to damage neighbors newly stamped concrete walk between houses.  Clean up was very complete and the foundation looks brand new.  Definitely would hire again.  Does everything exactly as he says he will."

"Vendor could provide foundation service, but not one of the other services we requested (simply not a service this vendor performs); we therefore chose a different path. Vendor provided a detailed and valuable foundation report that was essential towards our efforts, so we are very grateful for that. We will seriously consider this vendor for future work."

"It's hard to tell how much it cost for materials and construction services because in addition to doing that bath, they partially redid another.  Basically everything cost $6900.00.  They were very personable people.  The guy that was basically in charge wouldn't let anything go, no matter how minor, if he was not satisfied with it.  We are more than satisfied with the work.  He was friendly and he was easy to work with.  Anything you wanted to do he was more than willing to go ahead with it.  The price was fantastic.  He did everything we wanted to do for less than half of what the highest estimate was.  The work is exquisite.  We live in a house where the original part was built in 1830.  He was working in the part where the bathroom was built in 1921.  He knew what he was doing.  He was able to do everything necessary to deal with all of the unexpected things that come up when you are working on an older house.  He was here usually 4 minutes before he said he would be.  We are planning on putting granite countertops in the kitchen and some other things later this year and yes we will definitely be using him.  I would recommend him and his company to anybody.  They have a wide range of knowledge.  From what I saw, he could basically take on any job and do a fantastic job.  He is really really good and I am recommending him to all my friends."

Concrete Mudjacking questions, answered by experts

Mudjacking typically takes 24 to 72 hours (one to three days) to dry and cure completely before you can resume normal use. The total drying time can vary depending on the size of the project. Because the slurry mixture contains cement, it needs to harden fully to prevent the concrete slab from shifting under added weight. You should avoid walking on the concrete or placing heavy items like furniture or vehicles on the surface until it has fully set. Your concrete contractor can provide a precise timeline. As a point of comparison, if you opt for polyjacking, the polyurethane foam can dry in minutes, but it's recommended to wait about an hour before use.

Most states and municipalities don’t require concrete mudjacking companies to carry a specific license, but they usually need to have a general contractor’s license, and they should be fully insured. The only exception is if the mudjacking company provides foundation repairs as well, or if it offers mudjacking for home foundations. In that case, they will typically need a foundation repair contractor’s license. You can check state requirements and then use Angi’s license lookup tool to confirm that a company is properly licensed to provide mudjacking services in your area.

The polyurethane used for polyjacking will expand and cure in 15 to 30 minutes. After that point, your slab will be safe to walk on and even drive on in the case of a sidewalk or concrete driveway. Double-check with your concrete lifting specialist to confirm a curing timeline, as products can differ.

Most projects take 1-3 hours, with immediate usability after completion.

Mudjacking can be an expensive foundation repair process, but in many cases, it’s well worth the investment. This is especially true if you’re lifting a portion of sunken foundation slab back into place. In that case, mudjacking can help avoid major structural damage and even home collapse by restoring the integrity of your structure with minimally invasive procedures. Mudjacking a concrete patio, walkway, or sidewalk can be worthwhile because it removes tripping hazards and makes your outdoor area more aesthetically appealing.
