"Mike was great! He made an appointment to come over and explain the work and the cost. I liked him right away because he was very knowledgeable & personable. I did not feel pressured or confused with sales tactics. Within just a couple days, Mike and his team got started. Some snow and icy rain fell in the middle of the work, but they were there every possible minute working on my roof. The project was completed quickly and the finished product looks terrific! I'm going to use this company for other projects I need done, like replace the gutters, for example. If you need a reliable company to do work at your house, I highly recommend Lake Shore Seamless Gutters."

"They fixed the heater, and it broke again a couple of months later. The price was $600 the first time.  This time, I got a home warranty. They were prompt. They came quickly to fix it the same day, which was good. I don’t know if it was their fault, but the heater broke."

Gazebos questions, answered by experts

The average cost to build or install a gazebo is around $5,700, with prices typically ranging from $3,000 to $10,000. The final cost depends on several factors, including the gazebo's size, shape, material, and design complexity. For example, square gazebos and those made from metal can be more expensive, while brick is a more affordable material. Adding custom features like built-in seating or lighting will also increase the price. You can potentially save money by purchasing a prefabricated kit or performing some of the labor yourself.

On average, building or installing a gazebo costs around $5,700, with a typical range between $3,000 and $10,000. The final price depends on several factors, including the gazebo's size, shape, material, and design complexity. Material choice is a significant cost driver; for example, brick is often more affordable, while metal can be one of the more expensive options. Square-shaped gazebos can also be more expensive to build. Custom features, such as built-in seating or lighting, will increase the total price. You may be able to save money by purchasing a prefabricated gazebo kit or performing some of the labor yourself.

The main purpose of a gazebo is to provide a covered space for people to gather comfortably. They’re an excellent place for summertime get-togethers because the roof protects you and your guests from the sun. However, gazebos can also serve as a design feature, adding a bit of charm to a backyard or garden.

Porticos last 25 to 60 years, depending on the material used. A portico’s roof typically matches the roof of the rest of the home and can be replaced simultaneously. Portico columns have a similar life span if properly maintained and regularly sealed. In some areas, harsh weather and extreme temperatures may cause a portico to wear more quickly.

Common materials include wood, vinyl, and metal. Wood offers a classic look, while vinyl and metal are low-maintenance options.
