We were able to come to terms on 3 bathroom painting projects.   Overall Dave is very responsive and punctual.  He definitely shows up when he says he will and that goes a long way.  Finish on paint is ok, but not the best.   I think that his dry wall work is very good and prep is pretty good.   Overall contractor I would give a good rating or a B.  Definitely not as bad as some of the contractors we have utilized so maybe with the market so busy he would be acceptable and does decent work for the price.   He definitely finishes his projects as well.   Overall B experience.

called David on Monday for bathroom remodeling. Starts the next day with a promise to be done by Saturday. Day1: very slow removal of old stuff, project is not going fast. Dave adds fees due to unforeseen complexity of the project. Day2, soffet came down,result-lots of cut wires, he puts some kind of foil so it"ll be ok I refuse that. He spends a day to put wires into junction boxes, 4 of them,still some wires wrapped in foil by 4by 4. he's pretty confident it's ok he wants to cover it w dry wall. I call an electrician for a 2nd opinion. Dave moves on to flooring. Tiles are crooked, floor uneven, a big drop in the middle of the floor. He corrects some of the issues on request,it looks awful. Quotes " i'm getting crancky. it is going to be what it's going to be, live with it. " Dave is fired. Electrician charges $400 and states that it was unsafe and unprofessional. He couldn't believe it was real. Floor is ruined! Honestly, there's not enough space to describe how bad it was.

Dave had to be told over and over to repair his mistakes. He installed my shower fixture and said "it's done". I turned the knob on the shower and it was metal scraping metal. He fixed the problem after being told. He acted like he didn't even realize that it was installed incorrectly. He claimed that he knew how to install tile. He ruined $150 worth of mosaic tile. He also used 2 boxes of the porcelain tile. He never used spacers. The gaps between the tiles were wide in some places and narrow in others. He didn't follow the pattern on the mosaic tile. It's a mess. He sat the tub on the floor and built the frame around it rather than build the frame and set the tub down into it. Therefore he stood in my $2000 tub with his shoes, dropped tools and tiles and screws and whatever else while he was working. I noticed the black scuff marks at first and laid a blanket down and told him to stay on that. Then he started to tear off the mosaic tiles he ruined and left a 1/2 inch gash on the top of the tub. The tub is no longer new to us with so much damage. The tiles are ruined. The plumbing is leaking still even after he fixed it over and over again. The job has taken him such a long time because he has had to re do his work so many times. To make things worse, he took it upon himself to hang some drywall and ruined our drywall. That has to be torn down as well. We paid for materials and everything he bought for us, he put in his truck at the end of the day. By the time I caught on, we couldn't figure out what was purchased and what had been used. He kept buying and returning things. On the receipts, he had things crossed off and hand written in. He tried to charge us for personal tools he purchased. And he used lumber we already had in our garage as we told him he could, but used all that and had to buy more. Needless to say, the tub frame was built incorrectly and has to be torn down as it will collapse under the weight of our tub. So basically everything he has done, has to be torn out, plumbing, drywall, tub frame.  The electric he wired to w/p tub kept kicking off the breaker. We had to have an electrician come in to fix. He quoted us $4200. We made 2 installments of $1400 two days apart and paid $380 for plumbing materials alone. The damage done is in excess of $5000. He won't answer our calls. Next will be legal action. Take our advise. Don't hire him. You'll be sorry! We fired him but not soon enough!

Workers were friendly.  The deck was promptly removed, materials were properly disposed of, and the yard was left clean.  :)

They fixed the heater, and it broke again a couple of months later. The price was $600 the first time.  This time, I got a home warranty. They were prompt. They came quickly to fix it the same day, which was good. I don’t know if it was their fault, but the heater broke.

He was courteous, flexible, and knowledgeable of our heating system.  Air duct cleaning is a large job in a 2500 square feet home and he used his camera too!  My husband is always eager to learn and Dave allowed him to be his assistant.  Thank you so much, Dave.  We will be getting back to you ...

He did a great job and he was able to show up within an hour of me calling him because I was without hot water.

Excellent. Dave was skilled and very efficient. Arrived when due.

I was charged $25 additional for the distance of my residence from Dave's home.  He sprayed the gutters out, but left some mess on the lawn.  He was timely, and arrived when he said he would.

It was probably about an hour's job. I've seen him around the neighborhood so sometimes I see him working outside and I caught him one time and made an appointment with him. He was slow on followup thought I had to bug him to come back. It was about some light fixtures and the parts that he had wouldn't fit. It was like recess lighting.

A  skilled, personable, helpful, reliable, trustworthy, conscientious, steady worker.
Responded and came out within a week or so. Neat, clean and punctual.
His hourly fee is higher than others in my area. However, he is the kind of handyman you can hire who will get the job done well.
I'd say "worry free". There was no need for me to be watchful, to clean up anything after him,  wonder if he was on the cell phone, or be concerned that he was "messing up".

I used Them early this year. My experience with Them was really good. They did what they supposed to do and their price was really good. They're excellent workers.

We are pleased with the overall appearance of our new bathroom.  It was, however, a long process.  One of our concerns before beginning the project was maintaining cleanliness in the rest of the house while the construction was happening because we have an 18 month old running around.  We discussed this with Dave and he assured us that he would take measures to keep the dust and debris out.  He did cover his walking path and hang up a couple of plastic sheets, but he made no attempt to clean up the daily buildup until about 10 days into the project and also stored tools and supplies in areas of the house that were not being worked on.  While Dave is obviously skilled at home improvements, he lacks attentiveness to detail.  His phone was also a major distraction.  Sometimes it seemed like he forgot what he was doing before it rang, resulting in unfinished work.  For example, he had to remove the new drywall in the shower area so that he could glue the walls down, which he failed to do when he first put them up, which caused them to shift and be unstable. A few days after the job was completed, we discovered that the toilet tank had not been tightened down on one side when it sprung a leak.  He also put a 4" scratch in the new laminate floor while he was installing it, which caused us to have to buy another pack of boards ($66).  While there were a lot of mistakes made, Dave was always willing to correct them.  To reiterate, we are happy with the overall job, there were just a lot of inconveniences along the way.

I believe the work was done well and effeciently.  There were some cracks left in the paint around the hole made for the fan housing that are visible even with cover on the fan.  Crew doing work put the insulation back after I asked them to without complaining and pointed out the cracks in the paint.  Person giving estimate was very professional and prompt with return of estimate.  I was originally told it would be a while before it was completed but happened quicker due to weather. Estimated price stated it was a four hour job but only took them 3.  Overall it was a good experience and I would use them again.

Called Dave and asked to get a quote on short notice. Dave responded and came back the next day, a Saturday, to do the work.
Dave did a great job, was very concientence of keeping the work areas clean, and finished things in a very timley manner.
I would highly recommend himto others.

Things went very well in the beginning with the handyman. After we did not use him for the roof things were no longer great with him. We were unable to come in contact with him from that point on. I will not be using him in the future.

The price was fair  the owner David was punctual but a little hard to contact.I felt some of the equipment used  was faulty and needed to be replaced but overall the work done was satisfactory and I would use the service again.

This is the third time we have used Dave.  He has installed trim, replaced columns on the front porch and today we had him install light fixtures.  Dave shows up when he says he will.  Although the installation was lengthy, he stayed until he was finished and kept a great attitude.  We will definitely use him again.
