"It was a pleasure working with Mike and Danny. They went above and beyond what was asked for or expected. Not only did they remove the old flooring but also installed the new floor. It's absolutely gorgeous 😍"

"The job was to remove ~ 3inches from the bottom of a cabinet to make room for a new and taller refrigerator. The Kitchen is 40 years old with Formica veneer on the cabinets. Neatnics did a superb job and had all of the tools to perform the job in one setting ( My husband was very impressed with all of the saws he had). When I walked into the kitchen from the garage, I did not even notice the difference in the length of the cabinet. That is how good it looked. The job took 4 hours. I was the one who hired for Neatnics while my husband wanted to get references from our neighbors. My husband and I both agree that we will be using Neatnics in the future and can recommend this company to friends and neighbors. Two thumbs up!!!"

"HomeSafe Environmental Solutions responded right away. She fully explained the testing process. She was very thorough and methodical and tested in multiple locations in house and outside. Her written report was meticulous and easy to understand. She was using the latest technology equipment. Before I hired her I researched the scope she said she would use and it is the latest detection equipment. Jackie is very knowledgeable, kind, to the point and knowledgeable in the detection processes. I am extremely pleased and highly recommend her services. She is exactly what a home owner needs to discover if their house has lead and save the health of their family. Prices were very reasonable. Thank you!"

"Tom had a full schedule but found a niche he could fit me in that was several days earlier than i expected.  This was a nice surprise. The type of screen door I'd puchased was out of true because I'd stored it for a year on its side, and the door frame was out of true as well due to the old house setting over the years.   The screen door that was removed was the original aluminum frame door; the new one is a wood core door.  Tom worked quickly and and explained what he was doing as he was doing the install so that I a good idea of the the numerous adjustments and fine-tunings the install required.  The final result was excellent, and we've gotten some nice comments on the door since then.  We really liked Tom's friendliness and professionalism.  We will be asking Tom to replace our two large front windows, which will also probably be challenging as they're as old as the house too.

Lead Testing and Removal questions, answered by experts

Lead testing prior to purchasing a property ensures that the new owners are informed about potential hazards, prevents health risks associated with lead poisoning, and facilitates timely remediation.

At-home lead tests can provide accurate results if used correctly, and if the kits are reputable and certified. They vary in sensitivity and methodology, influencing their accuracy. Follow instructions meticulously, ensuring proper sample collection and test execution. While they can detect elevated lead levels, for precise confirmation or if results are concerning, consider professional testing or lab analysis for comprehensive accuracy and guidance on addressing any issues.

According to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), hazardous waste is generally classified into four main categories:

1. Characteristic Wastes: These exhibit at least one of four hazardous traits: ignitability (flammable, like gasoline), corrosivity (can rust or decompose materials, like car batteries), reactivity (unstable and can explode, like aerosol cans), or toxicity (harmful when ingested, like lead-based paint).

2. Listed Wastes: These are specific wastes from manufacturing and industrial processes that the EPA has officially designated as hazardous. They include byproducts from processes that use solvents, pesticides, and other chemicals.

3. Universal Wastes: These are commonly generated hazardous items that are subject to streamlined regulations. Examples include batteries, pesticides, mercury-containing equipment (e.g., bulbs), and some lamps.

4. Mixed Wastes: This category includes waste that contains both hazardous and radioactive components, making it subject to regulation by both the EPA and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.

Lead exposure poses significant health risks, including neurological, developmental, and behavioral disorders, especially critical in young children and fetuses.

No, you can’t place hazardous waste in a dumpster unless you specifically ordered a dumpster for hazardous waste removal. If the dumpster company finds hazardous waste that it didn’t approve for dumping, the company will return the waste to you, and you’ll likely face a fine for illegal dumping.
