"It was a pleasure working with Mike and Danny. They went above and beyond what was asked for or expected. Not only did they remove the old flooring but also installed the new floor. It's absolutely gorgeous 😍"

"Mr. Frank Trust and his employee, Toby, were prompt, extremely thorough, polite, professional and so considerate. Due to a leaking garage roof, mold and mildew developed and much of the stored items were destroyed. Mr. Trust and Toby spent about 7 hours cleaning, decontaminating and power washing the structure. They even cleaned, sanitized, wrapped and packed the personal items that could be saved. They did a fantastic job. Mr. Trust is a genuinely kind man. I’ve already recommended him to a friend. Thank you so very much for the service."

"HomeSafe Environmental Solutions responded right away. She fully explained the testing process. She was very thorough and methodical and tested in multiple locations in house and outside. Her written report was meticulous and easy to understand. She was using the latest technology equipment. Before I hired her I researched the scope she said she would use and it is the latest detection equipment. Jackie is very knowledgeable, kind, to the point and knowledgeable in the detection processes. I am extremely pleased and highly recommend her services. She is exactly what a home owner needs to discover if their house has lead and save the health of their family. Prices were very reasonable. Thank you!"

"Tom's busy but really did a great job making the best use of his time.  He took enough care to let paint dry and make a return visit later in the day for the final installation and coat.  At the initial estimate he was clear with pricing and later was honest enough to lower the job's overall cost once he was able to closer inspect the areas in question.  Someone I'll continue to do business with."

"I truly could not have asked for a better company and people to fall into my lap when I was in need of mold remediation services.  Andy did his homework on the issues of my mold problems and dug deep to help me as much as he could.  His thoroughness is out of this world... he is knowledgable in the field and very trustworthy.  His works got a little smudge of paint on my door mat coming into my home... you know where you wipe your feet from all of the worlds YUCK!  When they returned from lunch, they had purchased a new one to replace it, I never even asked... very professional and kind of them to do so!!  The work was completed as advised and the clean-up they did was above what most services seem to do these days.  I was asked to check over the work a couple of times and if I wanted anything revisited they would certainly do so. I am very pleased with the promptness, professionalism and dedication this company has for it's clients.  Thank you so much Andy and his crew for helping me keep my house safe!

Lead Testing and Removal questions, answered by experts

Age is the strongest indicator for lead testing and removal in Cleveland. Homes built before 1978 require immediate attention, especially those showing visible paint deterioration like peeling, chipping, or chalking. An elevated blood lead level in a child is a critical trigger for an inspection. Recent renovations without safe work practices also flag a high risk. Check your eligibility for OH assistance programs to secure a risk assessment.

Helpful?

A standard inspection takes two to four hours, with lab results returning in five to ten business days. The timeline for lead testing and removal depends entirely on the project scope. Window replacements take three to five days, while full paint abatement requires one to two weeks. Mandatory OH clearance testing adds several days for lab processing. Expect a standard Cleveland project to take three to eight weeks to complete.

Helpful?

Windows and window wells present the highest risk for lead testing and removal in older Cleveland homes. Opening and closing wood windows creates friction that generates hazardous dust. You should also check exterior painted surfaces, such as porches and wood siding, which deteriorate quickly in the wet OH climate. Interior doors, stairwells, and the soil around your foundation are also primary concerns due to decades of flaking paint.

Helpful?

You must vacate the work area during active lead testing and removal to keep your family safe. Relocate all pets until official clearance testing confirms the space is secure. The Cleveland health department recommends blood lead level tests for children before and after the project. Restrict children and pets from bare soil around your foundation, and notify your neighbors about exterior work to protect them from migrating dust.

Helpful?

Spring and summer are the peak seasons for lead testing and removal in Cleveland. The freeze-thaw cycles of harsh winters cause older paint to crack and peel, generating dust. Summer weather allows for essential ventilation by safely opening windows after containment is removed. Exterior work on porches and siding requires dry, warm conditions. Additionally, OH grant cycles and health department inspection referrals align directly with this warmer timeline.
