"In preparation for winter, I contracted for a roof inspection to be performed. Jason Lance nailed down shingles that were lifted up by the wind, and secured the nail heads with caulk. He also caulked around exhaust pipes on the roof. Furthermore, he reinstalled tw pieces of siding that had fallen off. He also caulked around the sump pump exhaust. Jason did provide before and after pictures of his work. In providing a cost estimate for bathroom exhaust fans replacement, he demonstrated his knowledge in home ventillation systems, due to his previous experience in home construction."

"Aaron and his team are AMAZING!!! Second person I have run across where work ethic is still abound. He shows up when he says he will. Does not over promise. We ordered this the fence way back in June of 2021. Just about a few months ago we finally got the gate so itâ s all enclosed for our two four legged family members. Aaron and his team will not steer you wrong. We knew that the virus had a ton to do with getting materials so waiting was alright with us because we knew he wasnâ t going to up and forget about us. I would recommend Aaron for any job you have you wonâ t be disappointed"

"I hired MDG Maintenance the same day as I called. They helped me out in a time of need. Had a very tall 10' Christmas tree to have prepped and place in the stand. Impressed by their professional manner and quick response in coming the same day on a Friday! Would definitely recommend them for any handyman services!"

"While they were not the experts on my particular project, they contacted another company to confirm that they would work and then let me know. Very nice people that took time out of their day to help me out!"

"Sentri Homes provided the most professional flooring service I’ve ever had. The LVP installation turned out absolutely beautiful, and I was amazed at how quickly everything was completed without sacrificing quality. The crew was fast, accurate, and extremely detail-oriented from start to finish. Everything was installed cleanly, precisely, and with real craftsmanship. The entire process was smooth, efficient, and far beyond what I expected. I would absolutely recommend Sentri Homes to anyone needing flooring installed."

Barndominium Builders questions, answered by experts

While prices fluctuate because of increased demand, fewer supplies, and engineering time, OSB generally remains more affordable than plywood at $1 to $2.40 per square foot compared to the $4.50 to $10 for plywood. Cost is only one factor you should consider when deciding between OSB and plywood.

The difference between a pole barn and a stick-built barn is in the construction. Large poles in the ground provide support for pole barns. For stick-built barns, 2-by-4 or 2-by-6 lumber (known as sticks) create a frame around load-bearing beams. Stick-built construction is far more popular for residential homes. Pole barns are more cost-effective because they require fewer materials and less labor.

Building a tiny house is the least complicated way to build, especially if you’re tackling the project as a DIY. The smaller size means less complex plans, more straightforward utility installation, and fewer ways to make costly errors. Tiny homes still need to conform to building codes and often have other applicable regulations, so be sure to get the proper permits and confirm your build is by the book.

The construction stage is almost always the longest part of building a house. Within this stage, framing often takes the most time, lasting anywhere from one week to a couple of months, depending on the home's size, the crew, and the time of year. Other parts of the construction phase include pouring the foundation and installing doors, windows, a roof, siding, drywall, and flooring. The planning and design phase can also be very time-consuming, sometimes taking months or even years, especially for a custom home. The final finishing process, which includes painting and installing trim, is typically shorter than the construction or planning stages.

The best lumber for building will be the strongest and most eco-friendly wood your budget allows. That being said, Douglas fir, pine, oak, and maple are all common building materials. Contractors will use a strong, inexpensive wood to frame a house or other structure and finer woods like mahogany for detail work.
