I refinish and reface kitchen cabinets with over 12 years of experience. I keep my schedule open so I'm always available and because I work alone, my prices are very reasonable. I also add new cabinets. I can design your new kitchen cabinets with all the added features you choose, or just add the new island and pantry cabinets you're wanting and finish everything in your kitchen to match. New cabinets can be matched to existing ones with attention to the details of the new doors and drawers. Pull-outs are very popular and make base cabinets seem bigger. Replacement cabinets are available in stock and custom styles. Refacing existing cabinets with new doors and drawer fronts is very popular, and homeowners can choose the details of their new cabinets with me during our kitchen design consultation. Shaker style has been trending for a decade or more and it's what I do the most of when I reface. Refacing takes a little longer than refinishing and I do more refinishing than refacing. You can use any colors you choose. Most refinishing takes me a couple of days in the kitchen and I recommend Sherwin Williams Emerald Urethane. Kitchen cabinets are always satin sheen. I don't do anything like countertops or backsplash. I specialize in kitchen cabinets. I often have to make minor changes and repairs to the kitchen cabinets when I refinish or reface them. I made an appointment with Dennis Trivett to visit the condo so that he could prepare his bid. He arrived on time, was professionally dressed, and conducted his evaluation in a thorough manner that demonstrated he was familiar with bidding these types of jobs. I received his bid promptly and it included a detailed description of the work to be performed, the fact that it included all labor and materials, with the price and payment terms clearly indicated. On the specified date, the crew showed up on time with everything they needed to get started. The workers were careful to protect exposed wood surfaces while removing the wallpaper and borders. "Contracted to paint master barn and closets, as well as, strip master bathroom wallpaper. Trino and his crew did an Excellent job; Completely satisfied. They arrived at 10 a.m. and finished at 7 p.m. The prep work was thorough and there was attention to detail (ie. caulked, fixed all nail pops, etc). There was some minor touch-up needed and Trini arrived the very next day at 9 a.m. and did all that was needed. The crew worked hard and were mindful of our schedule. "Jose and his team were very prompt and worked extremely hard. They took special care to make sure everything was properly covered and taped off before they started. This was a big job as I had wallpaper throughout my upstairs and even on the ceiling in one of the bedrooms. To determine how many rolls of peel-and-stick wallpaper you need, measure the square footage of the walls you’re covering and divide that by the square footage that each roll covers. Add 10% to 20% of your total square footage to account for pattern matching or damage while installing.
Your peel-and-stick wallpaper can fall off for multiple reasons, including high humidity levels, extreme temperature changes, poor installation, and even the wall surface. Textured walls can prevent the adhesive from fully sticking to the wall, making it more likely for the wallpaper to peel off. Low-quality wallpapers with weaker adhesives are also more likely to fall off prematurely.
Once again, contact with moisture is the culprit here, though water-resistant varieties of wallpaper are less likely to become wet and develop mold. Using a high-quality exhaust fan or dehumidifier and leaving the doors or windows cracked after bathing will keep this issue at bay.
