They tried a variety of blasting methods in order to scar the wood as little as possible and finally decided to use a heat gun, which worked well ,Shawn and his foreman kept going until I was satisfied with the job. "Minka Painting is an excellent and professional company and provided exceptional services and pricing. Mauro, the owner always communicated with us whenever we had questions and provided painting services according to contract. He & his workers did an excellent job in power washing and scraping our home, which was in bad shape. However, it was the parts of the job that was went above and beyond the scope of our contract that really impressed us. Part of the sideboard to the roof had come apart, which they fixed no charge. There were areas under our porch we hadn't included, they made sure were painted. They cleaned our yard and our neighbor's yard before completing the job. They even replaced missing bulbs in our flood light. They applied 2 coats of topcoat as contracted, when we pointed out a couple areas we thought could use more paint they re-applied more paint. Whenever Mauro was unavailable, his brother, Carlos was on sight to make sure everything ran smoothly or talk to us about the job. The before and after pictures speak for themselves. I contacted Them to wallpaper a 54 inch by 54 inch by 8ft half bath. I was going to have everything in the little bath removed. I was also going to do the prep work; which included painting the little ceiling and removing the border. All he had to do was hang the wallpaper. I had everything he needed. The wallpaper is a simple drop match. In addition, there are really only three walls. The door takes up most of one of the walls. The job could have been completed in less than four hours. I wallpapered for 30years. I had him peg as being slick two minutes after he walked into my house. He spent to much time looking around in my house. I suspect that he was trying to figure out just how high he jack the price. The job was so simple that he could have emailed me the estimate the next day, but he did not. After two days I started emailing saying that I am waiting for the estimate, he would respond with oh its coming. However, he still had not mailed it to me. I kept emailing him, and he kept saying that its coming. Until the last time I emailed him, and he responded by saying that he mailed. I responded by saying that makes no sense, and I said why didn?t you just email me the quote instead of putting it in the mail. He then responded by saying he didn?t have my email address. Really!! My first contact with this company was via email, and ever subsequent contact was via email. Lastly, I replied my saying all you had to do was return the email; just like you have in the past. He knew he was up to no good. He was clearly tying to take advantage!!! The so called trades people on Angie?s List of some of shadiest and slickest people I think that I have ever encountered. The old corner gas stations ran themselves out of business with the same kind of behavior. It is lost, because I had intended to have a lot of interior work done this up coming year.

"Damian and Ron did fantastic work and were very professional. Ron arrived promptly at the appointment time and took diligent notes at the beginning of the day to catalog our priority list for the house. Damian put down tarps in the areas they were working, and the paths leading to them from the garage to protect the floor.
No job ever goes completely as planned, especially in a 50-year-old house, but they were able to tackle each unexpected problem with no issues. Some of the wiring in the house is a bit shoddy, but Ron was able to figure things out.
They had a look at two jobs which I'll have them back for in the future: repairing electrical to a room in an addition of the house, and replacing a sagging ceiling damaged from a leaky roof years back. They gave me a realistic idea of what to expect those to cost, and it was very reasonable.
I felt safe leaving them in the house to work as I went off on a few small errands throughout the day.
Bottom line: they do great work, they're professional, and inexpensive.  We have a lot of things around that house that need repaired, and thanks to Damian, those repairs are in reach!
