"I chose Clear Choice to have new vinyl siding, windows, and gutters installed. Keith, the very friendly owner, personally came to my home to show me the available colors, options, etc. I found it to be of an advantage to work directly with the owner so as to ensure a clear line of communication and have expectations understood. As with most home renovations I had a few concerns during the work which Keith quickly addressed via a quick phone call. I highly recommend Clear Choice as Keith will ensure the job is done to your satisfaction and also uses a superior insulated siding for a cost LESS than a competitor s inferior product."

"I've used Atlas 3 times now - had a roof inspection (Angie's list deal) several years ago, then gutters & downspouts replaced a couple of years ago. Each time, I found Clancy to be responsive & prompt & I was highly satisfied with the services provided. This most recent time, I was noticing a problem with the flashing on several areas of my roof that I thought might eventually lead to leaking, and called to request an estimate for repair. Clancy came out while I was at work one day soon after, saw that the fix was pretty straightforward, and just got up on the roof and took care of it then and there, without charging me anything (just in time, too, since we had practically a monsoon the next day). Atlas has really helped me out. I appreciate it!"

"Ryan at Supreme does really great work. This is the 2nd project he’s done for me. He replaced my roof in 2021 and just recently replaced our whole exterior with new vinyl siding. His communication with me through out the process was flawless and his attention to detail really made him stand out. He goes the extra mile to make sure his customers are happy. After our roof was replaced he came back several times to make sure there weren’t any leftover nails in our yard that could harm our dog. He’s very in sync with his crews and I had total confidence through the process that my job was going to be done right. I’ve been extremely pleased with the quality and the price point of his work. He’s my first call whenever I need to have something done on our home’s exterior."

Siding questions, answered by experts

Stucco siding is the most energy-efficient option on its own, but you can choose insulated vinyl, insulated metal, or insulated brick or stone facade siding that improves energy efficiency even further. These options include a layer of foam insulation under the siding to reduce heat transfer between your living space and the exterior. If you live in a particularly sunny climate, a reflective option like insulated steel or aluminum siding can maximize efficiency.

Yes, you can mount shutters to vinyl siding. Depending on the weight and material of choice, you may need more fasteners or larger fasteners to secure the shutters onto the vinyl surface. It’s also important to locate studs or drill into the window frame when installing heavier shutters to best hold the weight of the shutters if you opt for composite or wood shutters.

No, you don’t need to use the same siding around the entire home. Using different siding for different walls can actually increase the soft value of your home. Many homeowners opt to add vinyl siding on the sides of their home not facing the street, opting for higher-end siding materials like stone or wood for the front of the house. Stone veneer siding can be a cost-effective option for homeowners who like the appearance of stone, but not the cost.

Hail as small as 3/4 inch (about the size of a penny) can cause damage to your siding. When hail reaches 1 inch in size, you can expect to see more cracks, chips, and holes, and hail that’s 1 and 1/4 to 1 and 1/2 inches around will cause significant damage. If you see hail that’s 1 and 1/2 inches to 2 inches or more in size, the damage is likely to be extensive and possibly even dangerous.

Steel and aluminum are two types of metal siding that are commonly used for residential and commercial buildings, but the materials have specific differences. Typically, steel is heavier and sturdier, fending off scratches and dents, while aluminum is lightweight and more prone to damage. Cost is another differentiating factor, as steel is more expensive than aluminum siding cost.
