"I had nature stone come to my home for a garage floor estimate.  Their price was more than double estimates from Rhino Flooring & Columbus Garage Floor Coating.  The product is beautiful but requires periodic re-sealing.  Re-sealing would require me to move everything out of my garage, which is not something I'm not interested in doing.
Estimator also committed a monumental error when he offered me a substantial discount if I would sign a contract that day, which is always a red flag.
Again, a beautiful product...but not the best for garages.  I felt the other two companies provided a better product at a better price.

"Prior to selecting Ideal OneDay Garage Floors I reviewed and met with several companies and found Ideal to be best in materials and pricing. I ask to visually good out and review there garage floor work performed and was very pleased with what I saw.. I then made my decision to hire the Ideal company to permed my garage floor coating Excellent workmanship from both Brandon and Matt. All work was performed as I was told to be and these gentlemen were very professional as they prepared and coated my garage floor. As well, both workers were very good to assure that they left no mess during and after the project and leaving my garage and entryway as clean as when they arrived. They answered all my questions as I watched there work process. After completing the work it was explained to me the drying time and when I could replace materials on the floor areas that were coated. End result was a beautiful shiny slip resistant garage floor that I would recommend to anyone. Almost to pretty to drive on.."

Small jobs welcome

"This is the only company that called me from Angi - and I'm glad they did! I received a call and they were actually able to come out the same day. So, I scheduled them for early afternoon, and they were right on time and ready to do the job. These guys were very polite, professional, and did a great job for a reasonable price. I would hire them again and I would highly recommend this company if you needed to have your driveway seal coated."

"Colton is a great contractor. He is very detail oriented and listens to his homeowners. Colton is hard working and knowledgeable in the trades. I am a contractor myself and I have been using Colton for several years now and will hire for my next project. I highly recommend."

Small jobs welcome

DAM Concrete is a new company, built off of 10+ years in the trade. I started with my families company in Toledo, OH and then I joined Local 886 as an apprentice and in 4 years I became a Foreman. I decided to move down the Columbus 3 years ago working as a supervisor for a company. I've been on all sorts of projects from residential driveways and stamped patios, to commercial warehouses and apartment building to just name a few. I've always had the goal to own my own company one day, and I'm starting to live that dream.

"Basement flooded that had carpet in it. Decided that I didn’t want to go back to carpet in case something like that happened again. Decided epoxy would be long lasting and resilient. Rodney and his team did an amazing job. They were in and out in a day and we only had to wait 24 hours before putting all of our stuff back in there."

Epoxy Flooring questions, answered by experts

The biggest downside of sealing concrete is that it needs to be resealed every few years. This routine maintenance can be laborious if you do it yourself and expensive if you hire a professional. Beyond that, sealing concrete can make the surface slippery, which can be dangerous with people with mobility issues, young children, or those with pools near their patios.

To maintain concrete floors, clean them regularly with a damp mop and avoid using abrasive cleaning agents that can damage the finish. Reseal the concrete every 2-3 years to protect the surface and enhance its appearance.

Generally speaking, epoxy is the best garage floor coating. There are two main types of garage floor coating you can consider: epoxy and polyaspartic. Epoxy coating comes at a more affordable price but loses when it comes to durability and long-term use. Polyaspartic coatings cost more and don’t offer as much traction, but they withstand accidents better and don’t tend to fade. Most homeowners choose an epoxy coating.

Unlike staining concrete, painting concrete often results in chips and peeling over time. You can expect numerous touchups over the years if the concrete is in a high-traffic area. Since concrete paints are opaque, you may also find it more difficult to get the exact color results you want. Lastly, painting concrete can make it much more slippery unless you mix in an additive for traction.

While you shouldn’t use thinset mortar on its own as a floor leveler, it can work alongside other products to help level floors. For instance, you could start with a self-leveling compound, let that dry, then apply backer board with thinset mortar to help fully even out the floors ahead of laying tile.
