"Very professional and courteous, he competed the detailing while I was at work.
Car was cleaned well inside and out.
I had to ask a few spots to be touched up, they were promptly touched up.
The detailing does not include shampooing the carpeting which hurts the performance, this is why I gave a B.
Comparing Apples to Apples, if you want a good detailing job RW is a great vendor to contact.

"Bill called me back immediately and was able to come out the very next day. He arrived promptly and took extra pains not to get the carpet dirty (snowy outside). The cleaning was performed and I'm very happy with the results. I also like that the two gentlemen looked professional, drove a professional service vehicle and took great care of my home with their equipment."

"First time deep cleaning of 1230 sq ft home was well done, however after they pulled out my stove to clean behind it, they forced it back into position not realizing that the large power cord at the back was twisted. This caused the pull-out drawer at the bottom front of the stove to become permanently bent and unable to be pushed in completely. I called them and they did return the same day and fixed the positioning of the power cord, but the drawer still doesn’t close properly. Also they cracked the inner plastic of one of my lamp shades. They also reversed the 2 shower doors on my long, walk-in Bathfitter shower, putting each door in the other’s track! Luckily I was able to put the doors back in their correct track."

Carpet Installation questions, answered by experts

In most cases, you do not need to put padding or underlayment under carpet tiles. Unlike traditional carpet, which requires a separate pad, carpet tiles are designed to be installed directly onto a firm subfloor like plywood, concrete, or tile. Many carpet tiles come with a built-in underlay and attach with peel-and-stick adhesive, double-sided carpet tape, or glue. For a more comfortable, cushioned feel, especially in residential settings, you can opt for padded carpet tiles that have a thicker underlay attached. While it's generally not recommended to install a separate pad, a compact underlayment might be used in some situations, though this typically requires professional installation. An acoustic underlay may also be considered in commercial spaces or multi-level homes where noise reduction is a priority.

The type of flooring you choose for your bedroom comes down to personal preference. Many people prefer carpet over hard-surface flooring types (such as hardwood, tile, or stone) in their bedrooms because it’s warmer and cozier. Carpeting also helps muffle sound, which may benefit those who have trouble sleeping.

On the other hand, some folks prefer the look of hardwood over carpet. People with allergies might also opt for non-carpeted flooring since carpet fibers can attract dust, dander, and other allergens.

There could be several reasons why your carpet padding has adhered to the floor. Some of the most common reasons include:

  • There was intentional gluing or stapling to the surface.

  • The polyurethane and floor bonded over years of wear.

  • Pet urine, spills, or other substances leaked through the carpet and created a sticky surface.

If the carpeting in the home has not been changed in a long time, clearing off the padding underneath could be difficult. Pet urine can wreak havoc on carpeting and the flooring underneath. If you plan to reinstall carpeting, remember to use proper cleaning techniques for removing pet urine odors to prevent future problems.

When deciding whether to repair or replace your carpet, consider its age, the extent of the damage, and its location. It's often best to replace the entire carpet if the damage is extensive, such as large sections needing replacement, or if it's caused by water, which can lead to mold problems. Similarly, if your carpet is nearing a decade old, replacement is likely the more logical choice. On the other hand, consider repairing your carpet if the damage is localized to one spot, like minor rips or snags, the carpet is still relatively new, or the damage is in a low-traffic area of your home.

The costs range from $3 to $10 per square foot, depending on the carpet type, labor, and subfloor preparation.
