"It was a clean and great service. I had Mr Rodriguez redesign the front of my house with a small fountain which he installed perfectly and rearranged my rocks, removed the bad weeds, replant and plant new plants. He also put mulch. And lastly he put my night lights. Very good and beautiful work. I highly recommend him. Thank you once again."

Hi my name is Cory Riley I?m a husband and a father of two boys, I started my company in 2023 I started out doing work for AT&T doing a lot of trench work and placing pipe. But I can offer many things such as land clearing, putting in new driveways, culverts, digging basements, pounds, or just simply digging a trench for placing pipe. "I use these guys every year.  They installed a paver patio and stone lined beds 4 or 5 years back.  That went really well.  The spruce up they do every year is nice.  We have a lot of landscaping.  They come in and do the work and it always looks great.  The clean up is done neatly and done while they are here.  I plan to use them again in 2016.

"An exposed aggregate walkway is not something that many people do any more.  We love the look of a pebble path walkway but didn't want to mess with pebbles in the yard and the edger stones shifting.  I talked to 3 concrete contractors and Chris Ruh was really the only one that said he could use whatever pebbles I wanted and would 'seed' them on top of the concrete mix so the sidewalk would have the colors in it I wanted.  Chris returned all phone calls and kept me up to date on when they were coming and what was happening.
The work got started an finished about 2 weeks earlier than expected.  The walkway looks great.  There was an issue with the step in that the form removed some of the cement and it looked bad.  Without hesitation Chris said they would be back to tear it out and re-do that piece.  The walk was done on Thursday and they were back on Monday tearing out the step and replacing it.
The prep work went fine, but you should be prepared for just how bad  the bobcat will tear up the grass. If that is an issue be sure and say something up front.
I was very surprised how neat the area was the day the concrete was poured.  There was really no leftover concrete anywhere and no sign that a concrete truck had been in the drive. The forms were removed the same day.
All in all we are very pleased with the choice to go with concrete and to use Chris Ruh.  We are now having him do some exterior drain tile installation.

"Extremely well. The wall looks great and we are very pleased with the final result. Our neighbors loved our new wall and commented on how well it was built. The patio bricks are all square and level. The contour looks great. They had to cut many of the patio bricks because the wall has several curves. They dug down and put a gravel foundation under the wall. For the spring clean-up they trenched around and weeded all of our mulch beds and trimmed all of our shrubbery. They then re-mulched all of our beds. They cleaned up all residue before they finished. We are very pleased with the overall look of our landscaping. I would highly recommend them. Their prices were very fair and their work was excellent and timely. They are coming back to trim a tree and then we will have them back next spring for clean-up."

"They renovated a downstairs area to inlcude structual walls to create a bedroom for us.  It took a week and a half and finished yesterday, which was ahead of schedule.  The whole crew was very nice.  They were the best estimate out of 3 that I received."

"Had the best price for the work.  Kept me up to date on expected timing of work as all the rain this year caused it to shift a little, I can't blame him for that.  Did footers to plan and took photos as I could not be there when they were dug before they were poured.  Did rough regrading of yard with dirt removed for footers.  Framed and poured the new porch, 20' by 24'.  Looks great.  All of this was done behind the house so tight area to reach and can't get cement truck back there.  Then hand dug roughly 60 foot trench to install corrugated piping/gravel/cover to improve drainage uphill from patio.  Tied this in to gutter system.   "

"Great. They were very easy to work with. They returned calls promptly, showed up when they said they would, did a good job matching the mortar and checked to see if we needed anything else done before they departed."

Retaining Wall Installers questions, answered by experts

Generally speaking, a retaining wall should be between 3 and 4 feet high, depending on variables such as the wall-building material, the purpose of the retaining wall, and more. If you want your retaining wall to be taller than 4 feet, check with your local building ordinance office for the maximum allotment. You may also need a special permit for retaining walls over 4 feet tall.

Rebar is a steel support that goes inside concrete to prevent structural damage over time. Concrete is susceptible to impact, weight, and tension. By inserting rebar into the concrete during the installation, you can help extend its lifespan and avoid hazardous situations where the foundation of your home gives way to tensile forces.

There are contractors specifically trained in the design and construction of retaining walls. Retaining wall contractors are skilled at dealing with the soil on your property and assessing what kind of drainage should be installed. They will recommend the best materials to use for the project and can handle the processing of permits by local authorities.

Small retaining walls still require a foundation of some kind, typically a concrete footing. This helps to ensure the wall is structurally sound and prevents the ground from shifting over time, especially during those winter freeze/thaw cycles. The footing helps spread the weight of the wall and the load it carries over a larger area of the ground, thus assisting with stability. This is true of small retaining walls, larger rock garden walls, and the like.

A retaining wall can only function as a fence if it’s high enough on all sides to prevent someone from accidentally falling into the pool. However, most retaining walls retain dirt, which means their purpose is not related to safety. There would need to be nothing on the other side of the wall for it to be considered a fence, but in that case, it wouldn’t retain anything and would cease to be a retaining wall.
