"We hired TKO for a job on one of our rental homes with severe fire damage. Our tenants required assistance removing hazardous materials and waste. Aaron was quick to respond arrived the VERY SAME DAY. His team worked until the job was complete. Fast and efficient! He even provided resources for our tenants that could help them along the way. Overall a pleasant experience with the company will be using him for more jobs soon."

"They were quick and efficient. Within three hours of letting them know what I needed they were done. I also asked if they could do another project and they called back around 7:30 pm to see if they could complete that too. This was perfect for me. That job was also finished that evening. Very polite, friendly, and they didnâ t waste any time."

Waste Removal Services questions, answered by experts

The cost-effectiveness of renting a dumpster versus hiring a junk removal company depends on the amount of junk you have. For a few individual items, junk removal is often cheaper, with average costs ranging from $140 to $380. However, for major cleanouts or large home improvement projects, renting a dumpster may be the more economical choice. Dumpster rentals cost an average of $300 to $480 per week. Junk removal companies typically charge based on how much space your items take up in their truck, so the cost can increase significantly if you have a large volume of debris.

In general, you can’t put old electronics in a dumpster. Not only is it illegal to improperly dispose of electronic waste in some states, but many dumpster companies have banned this type of waste from their dumpsters. It’s better to look into responsible disposal methods and call a junk removal company to pick up your electronic waste or visit an office or store offering electronics recycling.

While smaller appliances might fit in your trash bin, many municipalities and private waste collection companies prohibit throwing them away with your regular trash. Contact your trash collection service to learn how to dispose of old appliances properly. Some companies will pick your items up curbside for no charge or a minimal fee.

Most services offer weekly or biweekly pickup schedules. Additional pickups may be available upon request.

How you dispose of excess concrete depends on the amount you have left over. Since concrete hardens quickly, it's wise to have a disposal plan before starting your project. For small amounts, you can divide the extra concrete into manageable chunks. Because concrete isn't considered hazardous waste, these smaller pieces can often be placed in a dumpster. For larger quantities, you can rent a dumpster from a company that specializes in concrete disposal or take the material to a landfill or transfer station. It is important to call your preferred location first to confirm they accept concrete. Additionally, check with your municipality to see if it offers recycling services for solid concrete.
