1st In Home ImprovementsJoe and his team did an excellent job! We asked to have the walls patched, repaired, and painted. He also removed the baseboards to prepare for the flooring installation. Joe was VERY responsive via email and cell phone. He was competitively priced and very reasonable and completed the job on time. They kept us up to date on the progress with photos since we were out of state. We selected the paint color and he was able to pick it up prior to the job. They did a great job. I would highly recommend them if you are looking to support local businesses.- Danielle P.

Rite RugExcellence should be recognized. We just enjoyed a stellar installation job by Mario and his two associates with our new luxury vinyl plank flooring. Our house is one hundred years old, with all sorts of funky architectural oddities, twists and turns. These three gentlemen meticulously cut and trimmed around everything. They checked with us on a couple of minor points to be sure we were happy. And when they left, they cleaned everything up and reset our furniture. In short, it’s perfect. Rite Rug offers an excellent line of high-quality flooring options that we fell in love with. However, it’s the installer who makes or breaks the deal. They are the ones who come into the home. They leave the final impression with the customer. I wish I knew the names of Mario’s two helpers, but they worked as tirelessly as their leader. Just a professional job from start to finish. 1st In Home ImprovementsExcellent work! I had a utility room that was really outdated and was a remnant of the house's kitchen from a bygone era. I got four quotes, but chose Joe because of his reviews here on Angie's List and his personality and professionalism. Joe installed a wall, creating a pantry which was desperately needed. He and Stacy also installed a new floor, painted and installed trim, shelving, transitions, wiring/switches/outlets, everything that was needed to totally remodel the utility room and create an awesome walk-in pantry. I highly recommend Joe. Note his rates are labor only, so be sure to estimate cost of materials as well. His rates were higher than other contractors, but when comparing apples to apples, and knowing sometimes you get what you pay for, I chose to spend the extra $ with Joe, and don't regret it a bit.- Dennis M.

Bellbrook Home ServicesSuperbly!! Nate Richardson, owner, supplied a great crew of 2 people to do the majority of the inside work. The team leader, Jerry, is truly a master of numerous crafts/jack of all trades. He was able to deal with significant un-level floors, not square corners, damaged wallboard - everything that had to be dealt with. As to the outside work, just some small handyman tasks, which we are quite satisfied with. We've had this company do small handyman tasks for us in the past but nothing this large. We completely redid the dining room, living room, entry hall, family room, and hallway leading to baths and bedrooms. Very professional job with a small team. Dayton Home RemodelingThe company came out for an estimate and spent an hour going through all of the particulars, which we appreciated. The estimate was very reasonable. Richard came to work on the bathroom a couple of weeks ago. He did a wonderful job. He is knowledgeable and careful. He made sure everything was done right. While pulling up flooring, he noticed that the floor boards were rotted. Although this required additional cost, we were so happy that he paid attention to every detail. My first encounter with United Structural Systems company ( USS) was last year, when I had to face the decision which company I go for foundation repair at my house in West Virginia. It was equal bids on my project from two companies USS and Alltek. Unfortunately for me, I made the decision to go with Alltek Environmental Services company at that time. Foundation repair was finished in August 2019 by Alltek (please read my review, that I placed separately for Alltek). 48,000 dollars payment later foundation been done. I finally be able to place my house for sale this year and come to realization, after inspection is done on the house, that it is a presence of water leak in the storage area. I could not believe, how it is possible, when the foundation repair was just done 8 months ago. I guess, things were not done properly after all. After numerous attempts to contact Alltek company, I finally be able to get the response with another promise to “fix it” in the amount of $9,200 or later for free…if I take off my review of their company from homeadvisor.com. Lack of professionalism, poor craftsmanship and PR was major disappointment for me. To be honest, after I been treating inferiorly by Alltek, I did not have any desire to go back to the same company. I was looking for second opinion how to resolve these issues. I decided to reach out again United Structural (who I was hoped to remember me from last year) and explain my dilemma. Bobby K. (Sales Manager for USS) come to the rescue! He was willing to give me his unbiased opinion on the situation. Bobby K, “commander in charge”, went to the house and informed me, that “downspout lines were never installed, the part on top of the ground went nowhere and tie back patch was poor quality”. Simply put it, Alltek did a mediocre job. I immediately made the decision go ahead and proceed with United Structural Systems company for repair of the mistakes. I cannot say enough praise for the USS company and manager Bobby K. This re-du project was done in timely matter, communication was superior ( needless to say I live out of state and it was never an issue), area after the job was clean up to perfection and…the garage/storage area now look dry bone and beautiful. Awhhhh... maybe I should not sell my house after all?! I have a buyer on the house, and I am closing in 2 weeks and can say with all honesty, I could not do that without United Structural help. It was exceedingly difficult situation for me, and it was resolved by USS company with flying colors. Thank you again USS. I recommend you without any hesitation!!! NOBODY ever came to assess our area to give us a quote. I called Basement Doctor Thursday, July 30. This was my first contact with them. Around 5p Jesse, called. He inquired about location of egress, our address, & our availability to meet with him. He also said that he needs to check with the auditors office. That threw a red flag. Nobody requested that. We’re homeowners. At 5:05 I texted Jesse a few pictures of the interior & exterior of the interested egress location. 9:27 that evening, Jesse texted: You have plenty enough room for egress window sorry I just got out of the appointment about 30 minutes ago we will get you on the schedule and I can come take a look at it :) I texted back, “ no problem, thanks” (Jesse didn’t read my text until Mon, Aug 3...4 days later). Mon, Aug 3 @ 11:00a Jesse texted: I have not forgotten about you lol Well, it’s now Sun, Aug 30. One day shy of four weeks! POOR business representative. Maybe something happened but someone else should’ve followed up. We WILL NOT be using Basement Doctor. Really disappointed.
