"he was the only one to respond but he was very profesional and kind. I have had quotes from others and he is very reasonable. His task will begin in November with Fall cleanup but also will include tree trimming in Spring. I look forward to working with him."

"JEFF AND TAMMY ARE THE BEST EVER! CALLED ON A FRIDAY TO GET A QUOTE ON REMOVAL AND STUMP GRINDING OF SOME 35 YEAR-OLD SHRUBS THAT HAD BECOME EXTREMELY OVER-GROWN. THEY GAVE ME A QUOTE QUICKLY, AND SET ME UP WITH AN APPOINTMENT THAT *MONDAY*! THEY CAME OVER EARLY, DID AN EXCEPTIONAL JOB ALL-AROUND AND WERE GONE IN LESS THAN 2 HOURS. IN THESE TIMES OF HORRIBLE SERVICE PROVIDED IN ALL SPECTRUMS OF WORK, THIS COMPANY IS A BREATH OF FRESH AIR. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!"

"Louis responded promptly to my message to have a tree trimmed and a large lilac bush removed. He gave me a quote for half of what another company quoted .He came the following week as promised and did an excellent job. He cleaned up the yard and hauled everything away.I would definitely hire him again and highly recommend him"

"My neighbor has a very large evergreen tree very close to the boundary. This past year lightening has struck it and twice it dropped very large limbs, damaging my fence. I met Travis of Kustom Trim Tree Service early this spring, when his crew came out to fix the damage. They pruned off the branches that hung over my property and then pruned two additional trees in my yard. I realized the guy I had been using only â trimmedâ the trees which meant he had to come out more often, costing me more money. Travisâ crew properly pruned the trees and I probably will never have to address that issue again. I had some plans for my yard. His crew came out again and removed two rather large and rather dead evergreen bushes from my front yard. Another guy came out and ground out the roots. The crew returned again to mulch my yard. I picked out the replacement bushes and Travis purchased them through his greenhouse connection. The crew came out one final time and planted them. When all was said and done, the final job went far beyond my expectations and vision for my yard. I am just amazed and really pleased and satisfied with the job. My yard really has that â professionalâ look now. His crew is very professional and very personable. I enjoyed chatting with them and learned from them. I am a retired senior citizen and itâ s always nice to find a company you can really trust. That would be Travis and Kustom Trim Tree Service. I would never hesitate to recommend him to anyone."

Arborists questions, answered by experts

Trees aren't big fans of moving, and they do go into shock during a transplant. Although most carefully thought-out tree transplants see the tree recover from the shock just fine, there is always a risk of having an unsuccessful move. Proper preparation, timing, and diligent aftercare are crucial to minimize the risks when transplanting a tree.

Yes, you should trim the lower branches of your maple tree for safety. Trimming maple trees as they grow helps lift the crown and canopy and trains it to grow straight up. A good rule of thumb is to prune enough branches to leave 6 feet of clearance under the tree.

The best time to transplant a tree is when it is dormant. For many trees, this means either in the fall after the leaves have dropped (around October or November) or in early spring before new growth begins (around March). The ideal timing can depend on the type of tree. Deciduous trees do well when moved in early spring or fall, while evergreens are best transplanted in early spring or late summer. For example, pine trees are best moved in early fall, but maples prefer late fall. Avoid transplanting in winter, as the frozen or hard, cold soil poses a significant risk to the roots and prevents the tree from acclimating properly.

Ivy eventually kills trees by restricting its growth, blocking sunlight, absorbing nutrients and water from the soil, and weakening the tree. Trees with ivy are more likely to experience diseases, pests, rot, and fungi growth. When ivy weighs down tree branches, the tree is more likely to break during a storm and cause damage.

Professionals ensure safety, prevent property damage, and handle debris efficiently.
