VERY BASIC job to build a new porch, staircase to the basement, new box gutters, miscellaneous trim work and painting.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK
I had some water damage from a leaky pipe in the second floor wall. Part of the ceiling in my combination living room/dining room area collapsed. They replaced the part of the ceiling drywall that needed to be replaced. They textured that part of the ceiling that was replaced and painted the ceiling/walls/woodwork in that room. They repaired the drywall in the upstairs office and painted the walls & woodwork. They replaced the vanity which was water damaged in the upstairs bathroom. | |I was disappointed in the ceiling repair because you can see the places where new drywall was installed because there is a dent where the old and the new meet. They were unable to match the texture of the part of the ceiling that was not repaired. They did tell me that it would not be the same, but that no one but I would notice it. (Everyone that has come into my house since the repair has noticed.) The wall in the office where they replaced the drywall is fine. The painting that was done for both rooms was good. |The new vanity was not of the same quality as the original in that wood for the side that shows does not match the front. The inside of the vanity is not finished wood like the original. | |Unfortunately, I signed a Certificate of Satisfaction when the job was completed which I should not have done because I was not completely happy with the ceiling repair. I did not discover the unfinished quality of the vanity until I got ready to reline the cupboard a couple of days after the last contact. |
