With over 100 years in business, we are earning your trust. Founded in 1915, Plunkett’s Pest Control is a family-owned & operated company with third-generation ownership. Plunkett’s delivers professional pest control services to residential and commercial clients in 20 states and growing. Our entire staff is knowledgeable, trustworthy, resourceful, and passionate about preventing & solving pest concerns for our clients and safeguarding the communities we call home.
"100% would recommend Mica from Plunkett’s to deal with your cockroach issues. We had roaches off and on for many months, despite a good cleaning regime etc., and eventually realized other units in our shared building had the same issues. Mica quickly and precisely diagnosed the source of the issue, was real with us about time and possible costs, worked with us in coordinating multiple units, patiently answered all questions, and in the end helped my neighbors and I deal with this extremely persistent issue in a relatively short time frame. He approached treatment with a lot of care and thought, in particular listening and adjusting for our concerns re: safety of our young toddler. This was a big one for us! Plunkett’s was a bit more expensive than some other pest control companies we looked at, but neighbors had already tried multiple other services and it never got rid of the issue. In the end, it was probably cheaper than multiple ineffective treatments, but more importantly we haven’t seen a roach in several months."

Our services focus on getting rid of animals, preventing them from causing damage and/or repairing the damage they've already caused. DBA: Critter Control & Christensen's Urban Insect Solutions, Inc.
"This company has changed ownership, practices, and prices since the last time I hired them. But they did take care of the animal in my wall, although for a much steeper price. I want to give an outstanding review to William and Nathan, who did the actual work. They listened to me, believed me, and didn't treat me like an idiot. They worked out a way to do things to meet my preferences. They did great work, and the problem is taken care of, the holes repaired. Even 12 inches of snow didn't stop them. The office people were good too, always helpful."

Family owned & operated. We remove any pest from your home or business quickly. After a thorough inspection, we will offer the most efficient solution, and a step by step plan to reduce the problem. This inspection will help determine the cause of the problem and recommendations to eliminate future entry. Be assured that we will take the necessary actions to reduce the costly damage and fear associated with these unwelcome critters.
"Service call was completed the same day I called. Bat was carefully removed for relocation to a distant woods. Outside of dwelling including roof was inspected for additional bats (none found) and for sites that might provide nesting or access points (none found). Valuable background information was also given on the characteristics and behavior of bats. Overall, this was a very satisfactory and reassuring service call, as was a similar bat removal by the same company four years ago."

When pests or termites move in, you want the ultimate weapon to take them out: Terminix, America’s leading provider of termite and pest control. It's no wonder more than 2.7 million customers trust us to protect their homes and families from the havoc that unwanted intruders can create. You can look to us for a wide range of services to protect your home top to bottom, inside and out: Insulation Service, Moisture Control Solutions, Rodent and Wildlife Service and more. We can even help you win the fight against the bite with our revolutionary Mosquito Service. Don’t trust your home to just anybody. Go big. Go strong. Go Terminix. Protector of home since 1927.
"If you want the short, abbreviated version, do not use Terminix. They are dishonest and unable to do a professional job. Save yourself the hassle and use someone else. We contracted Terminix to remove all the insulation from our attic and close any holes on our exterior where they may be getting in. They gave us a quote of $19,000 to do the job. They were contracted to put 13 inches of insulation throughout our attic and close all of the holes around our house. They told me they completed the job, but when I checked, they only put half as much insulation and did not close most of the holes. We gave them an opportunity to correct the blatant effort to purposely be deceptive. They spent the next week not answering the phone until I filed a chargeback with my credit card company. If you made the mistake of already using Terminix for your insulation, go back and measure. It is supposed to be 13 inches, and I can assure you, it is not."

"Had them install the baits around Mom's house. I was unsure this was a good thing --- drawing the termites close to the house that had once already been infected. At one point I had an issue with one of the bait traps that they promptly replaced. But I noticed a LOT of termites on that bait. I requested a report. They said they'd give me one. NEVER GOT ONE. In fact, I had asked for updates / reports every time they made an inspection. They said they'd give me one. NEVER RECEIVED ANY REPORTS ABOUT THEIR OBSERVATIONS. NEVER RECEIVED ANYTHING BUT A BILL. So today I called and said I would not be renewing because of that, and they didn't even TRY to keep me as a customer. They simply said we'll have the bait traps removed. They quickly ended the conversation. WOW. So I guess I made the right decision to drop them. So now I STILL do not know anything about what is happening on my property with regard to termites. I would never ever recommend them. Ever. I'm sad about that, because I wanted to employ a local company for this issue, and now I'm going to have to submit to the bleeping national chains. Really, why couldn't they at least have given me a report after inspection??? Now I have to go find another company to give me honest input."

DIY animal removal is rarely a good idea and is not advised for many reasons. First, these types of animals can carry diseases and, therefore, pose a health risk to you, your family, and your pets if mishandled. Second, depending on your city or municipality, it may be illegal to remove or handle wildlife yourself.
Sealing your home against these animals yourself is also a bad idea. Trapping an animal under your house will cause odor and insect problems when it passes away.
Pest control is not the same as animal removal. Pest control specialists treat for insects and bugs, often by using chemicals. Animal removal specialists try to avoid chemicals if possible and instead work to trap and move the animal that's causing problems.
Since each expert has their own removal methods, it's best to contact a pest control professional for insects and bugs and an animal control specialist for other animals.
Animal removal specialists specialize in removing critters and wildlife from in and around your home. These include:
Bats
Birds
Groundhogs
Moles and voles
Opossums
Mice and rats
Raccoons
Skunks
Squirrels
The specialist's method to remove these critters will depend on the animal. For example, groundhogs will be live-trapped and relocated, whereas, for birds, the expert will remove and discard the inactive nest and sanitize the area.
You might be tempted to call your local municipality to remove animals from your property, such as a groundhog burrowing in your yard or raccoons getting into your trash cans. However, they typically only remove domestic animals like dogs and cats from properties, or sick and injured wildlife that pose a public safety risk or health threat, such as a rabid animal. They typically do not capture or remove healthy wildlife.
Animal removal professionals have the tools, knowledge, and skills to trap and remove wild animals adequately and humanely. They also can relocate them correctly.
Professional animal removal costs between $200 and $600 for average homeowners. However, depending on the type and number of critters removed, this cost could range from $85 to $1,400.
This cost does not include the cost of home damage caused by the animal, which could be as low as $300 for minor drywall repair or as much as $15,000 for crawl space cleaning and restoration.
