"Outstanding! If you need any masonry work done, give Pat a call. I searched for months to find a company that had good reviews and would show up to give me a quote. I contacted Pat on 10/19/20 and he came right out for a free estimate. He was honest and upfront on the work needed to be done. He sent me a written estimate and came back to speak with my husband. He answered all of our questions. We felt very comfortable hiring him for the job. I would give him an A++++."

"Excellent! Dan and his crew did great work in each phase of the project. Dan came up with a very creative design that fit the space wonderfully, then he & his crew installed a flat sandstone patio & walkway that perfectly compliments the sandstone block foundation of our century home."

"Eli and his wife, Amy, were incredibly easy to reach throughout the process. Eli came out right away to look at the yard and give a quote. When it came to design, they were happy to consider changes to our original plans and made sure we got exactly what we wanted. The finished project looks great!"

"I just had my Attach garage completed at the end of September 2018. I needed my lawn regraded around garage & top soil grass added around garage. Josh Brazytis from Leafstone reviewed my project and emailed me a estimate. I asked if it was too late in the season to plant grass because it was the beginning of fall? Josh said no we had about two more weeks to plant. I asked what would happen if the grass would not take this late in the season. Josh added a re-seeding for Spring in contract. The estimate was reasonable. We scheduled a date. When talk to the guys he sent out they were very professional and did everything I requested I a timely manner. Yes I would use them again!!!"

Masonry questions, answered by experts

The premise for painting a brick building is fairly simple: Prime the bricks to seal the surface and apply the top coat to protect your brick home. However, it’s easy to miss a few important steps if you’re starting from a raw brick surface and don’t know the basics of how to paint brick. So be sure to reach out to a local professional painter if you have any reservations about correctly painting your brick house.

The United States Postal Service (USPS) recommends placing a mailbox 6 inches to 8 inches back from the curb. If your lot is unusual, speak with town authorities or the local post office to determine the correct placement.

Modern brick houses are really stick-built homes with a brick facade for aesthetic purposes only, so most have framing. With genuine brick construction, most homeowners install furring strips over the interior of the brick and then install drywall over those strips to cover the brick wall, so they don’t have traditional framing.

You can hang holiday lights on brick without drilling by using hot glue, outdoor tape, or brick clips for your project. There are plenty of alternatives to consider, so consult a professional Christmas light installer to discuss the best options to preserve your brick exterior.

A well-made brick wall can last up to 100 years if maintained properly, which includes regularly repairing the mortar every 30 to 50 years. If your brick wall is under 30 years old and is already showing signs of repair, it may be due to poor brickwork and installation. Extreme weather conditions can also accelerate a brick wall’s life span (especially the exterior of a house).
