"I am not pleased with the service I received! They damaged my waterline and stated someone would be out to fix it. It's been 9 months and no one will return my calls nor have they come to fix what they damaged! They ruined my lawn and never came back to replace the soil they dug up! They ruined my basement floor and I had to replace my entire floor! They said they would be out to test the sump pump and drains that were installed, again, it's been 9 months and no one has followed up with me! I'm really concerned that the lifetime warranty they say I have even exists!"

I called in the morning when my hot water heater died, and they installed a new one that same day. They've also installed my new furnance and A/C, replaced an old outside spigot, replaced my toilet, and replaced old pipework. The technicians are courteous, punctual, knowledgeable, professional, and efficient. They take the time to answer my questions (I have a lot of them!). They respond very quickly to calls, and services are usually performed on the same day. If they leave and something's not completely right, they make it right. For example, the lid to my new toilet tank was wobbly and there was a manufacturer's mark underneath the toilet seat (visible only when you lifted the seat to clean underneath the toilet seat). I noticed this after the plumber had finished installing the toilet. I called MW, and they replaced the entire toilet! Exceptional customer service!"

An AC drip pan may stop draining if there’s a clog where the drip pan connects to the drain line. Clogs can form from a lack of cleaning or from rust or corrosion buildup. Cleaning the drip pan at least once per month lowers the chances of debris clogging the drain line.

It is generally safe to stay in a house with sewer gas for a short time, even though short-term exposure is unpleasant. However, prolonged inhalation can cause headaches, nausea, or respiratory irritation. High levels of methane—which is in sewer gas—can pose an explosion risk in enclosed spaces. Ventilate the area and call a pro if you smell sewer gas or experience related health symptoms.

Drain clearing removes debris and clogs from drain pipes enough to allow water to drain properly. On the other hand, drain cleaning removes all of the material from the pipe so that water flows unrestricted, which is a longer-term solution. If methods like hot water or a plunger don’t work on your clogged drain, you can snake your drain to dislodge the plug. Just work slowly, and be ready to call a plumber if you’re unable to reach the clog from your drain or P-trap.

First, find the cleanout pipe in your yard. Unscrew the cap—you may need a wrench to do so. Then, get a drain snake. You can use a non-motorized one, but a motorized snake will make the job a little easier. Feed the snake through the pipe until it reaches the clog. Spin the snake continuously, but don’t try to feed it through the pipe anymore. Keep spinning until you feel it break the clog apart.
