I was very pleased with Joe's knowledge and the way he explained things to me, as well as with his workmanship. I'd call this company again in the future."

"The work that they did was really good. What they charged was ridiculous. They wouldn't give us any kind of discount for the fact that my husband had already dug the hole for them. There was a difference between what we were quoted and what we actually ended up charged, separated by about $500. It was quite surprising. We used them in the past before and they are pricey. "Clogged Kitchen Drain and Gas Shut-off Valve: Terry the Plumber is Honest - they don't try to sell you services you don't need. A prior plumbing company told me my main sewer line was collapsing, hoping I'd hire them to replace the main line for thousands of dollars. Terry the Plumber checked it out and said it wasn't collapsing. Pays to have a second opinion. The kitchen line, with an old galvanized drain was rotting and clogged with grease from 75 years of use (it was the original.) They replaced drain with a PVC pipe, installed a handy clean out and completely snaked the rest of the drain in the floor out to 45 feet (the other company only used a 22 foot snake.) They also returned the next afternoon to replace a corroded and frozen gas shut off that I needed done. Took them less than 15 minutes. Terry and his assistant work quickly and don't waste time. Terry has several decades of experience and it shows. I will definitely hire them again for other plumbing projects. The only real complaint I have isn't with Terry the Plumber, but their answering service (Plumbing Services). Called after hours to check time when Terry would be arriving. It was holding over two minutes with no one picking up, so I hung up. Oddly, Terry showed up just 5 minutes later. LOL! Terry the Plumber is great! Prices are reasonable, too."

"I noticed a leak in the main soil drain pipe where it connects to the clean out junction just before going into the cement floor of our basement and connecting to the lateral line to the sewers. I suspected the drain must be clogged and was allowing the liquid to drain onto the floor through a broken seal on the connection. I checked Angie's List and called Allen Drain Service. Two technicians came out and performed the and inspection. They explained to me that I needed a plumber to replace the pipe and possibly the clean out junction and that it may require a partial dig out of the concrete floor around the clean out junction.

I was so surprised when they said I didn't owe them anything. Many service companies will charge a fee just for showing up, but I was not charged by this company, even though they provided a quick inspection and test of my drain system that resulted in the correct diagnosis, an explanation of the probable repair, and a suggestion for a proper service provider. They were very honest, professional and courteous and I still cannot get over the fact that they did not charge me for a service call. They said they didn't do any work that would justify a fee. They merely said if I, or anyone I knew ever needed drain service, to please give Allen Drain Service a call. I will certainly do that. Allen Drain Service is an asset to residents of NE Ohio.
