"They came to the house free of charge to provide a quote to install a ceiling fan in an 18’ to 20’ high great room. They were $1,000 less than quote provided by another company. They had to come back with special equipment and additional personnel to complete the job, but checked the fan before leaving and suggested we pickup a longer down rod before they returned. They were on time for both appointments, friendly and completed the job in the approximate amount of time they indicated it would take. Would hire them again."

"Adam is awesome! His aim was to repair rather than replace when possible. Very knowledgeable and personable. All work was completed in a timely manner. The ceiling fan I had purchased didn't fit so he will find one that will and install it. He is also coming back to put new hinges on a kitchen cabinet. I was very pleased with all the work done. We will definitely use his services in the future."

Customers say: Quality work

"Joe was very pleasant, did the job in a timely fashion, and completed the project in a professional manner. He removed and disposed of old shower doors and frame and installed new doors and re-calked the tub area. He did a good job of cleaning up after the work and was very easy to get along with."

Bathroom Fan Installation questions, answered by experts

If you think your fan needs to be oiled, the first thing that you have to do is cut the power to the fan. The best and safest way to do this is by flipping the circuit breaker that leads to that room.  Depending on the model of your fan, you may need to remove a cover. Look for a hole labeled oil. If there isn't one, check the manual or look for schematics online. Once located, use the recommended lubricant or spray.

Blower fans are better for preventing mold growth than dehumidifiers because they target the damaged areas and increase the rate of evaporation, which dries out the building materials. Ideally, you should run blower fans and a dehumidifier, as this will allow the fans to move dry air over your damaged building materials, drying out the space even more quickly.

The average life span of a thermoelectric fan operating seasonally is two to three years. However, the life span of a wood stove fan depends on its quality, usage, and maintenance. Regular cleaning of the blades and ensuring the fan operates within its recommended temperature range can help prolong its life span.

When choosing a mounting bracket, you have the option between flush mounts and downrod mounts. Flush mounts are the better option for low ceilings as they feature a lower profile. Downrod mounts are the optimal choice for rooms with high ceilings as they offer a pole that adjusts the height of the fan.

Before committing to this new project, you’re likely weighing the pros and cons of attic fans. The good news is that typical roof vents can only ventilate 150 to 300 square feet per unit, whereas a single attic fan can circulate enough air to vent an entire attic. By moving large volumes of air within and out of the attic space, an attic fan can lower the temperature by 15 to 40 degrees Fahrenheit and reduce moisture to prevent mold and mildew.
