Small jobs welcome

"Highly recommend. Two amazing young men, Brice and Avery, who know what they’re doing. Very prompt, attention to detail and great communication. Very eager to please and quite professional. They have retiled a large shower for us, beautiful. Completed a huge deck plus trex boards. Looks fantastic. Got a rental property ready for us to sell: repaired whole wall, resealed bathtub enclosure, repaired an awful window situation, painted decking, and repaired crown molding. Sold 2 weeks later. Great company. Highly recommend."

"They salesman was very helpful in explaining the different types of carpet, durability, value, etc.  We scheduled and installation and they had two installers at the house on the day we scheduled.  They installed the carpet in one day.  We are very pleased with the experience.  We got excellent carpet (20 year warranty) for an excellent price.  We gladly recommend The Carpet Store based on our experience.

"We are repeat customers and are so pleased with the quality of work. We had Footprints install porcelain tile on our kitchen floor and then hired them for our master bath, too. We are so happy with how it turned out. Everything ran smoothly from the estimate to the install and final check-in. The owner is very responsive to questions and everything was transparent in terms of cost and timeline. We would not hesitate to use them again!"

"Beautifully. I had another company install new tiles in the kitchen. They didn’t install them correctly. Jason took up all the tiles and cleaned up all the dirt and debris underneath that the previous company left. He re-used as many tiles as he could and installed them perfectly. He made sure that the tiles were locked in properly and made sure there was proper spacing between the walls and the tiles by using spacers. They cleaned as they went and made sure there was as little dust as possible since I have asthma. Very prompt. They did exactly what I wanted done. The floor turned out absolutely beautiful. I would definitely hire Jason again."

Ceramic Tile questions, answered by experts

Replacing tile flooring can take a few days for a pro, but larger rooms will need more time. It takes eight to 12 hours for a tiling pro to remove old grout and tiles across 100 square feet. Then, it will take about four hours to prep the subfloor for tiles and another eight to 10 hours for a pro to install new tiles. Your tiling project may take up to a week, depending on the size of the room.

Tile installation can be expensive because it requires more time and labor to install than many other materials. For example, laminate flooring can click and lock into place, and carpet comes in large rolls that you can secure to the floor. On the other hand, tiles need to be cut, laid individually, grouted, and left to cure.

Installing kitchen countertop tiles on a mold and moisture-resistant cement backer board is one of the best options. When fitted correctly on top of a plywood base, it’s stable and long-lasting. Old-fashioned cement board is economical, cuts neatly and easily with a circular or jigsaw, and screws into plywood without any difficulty.

Deciding between using a shower pan or tile will likely come down to the shower’s design. You can learn how to install a shower pan liner, but it has a standard look similar to most other showers, though there is some flexibility for material and color choices. Tile, on the other hand, can be customized and is set directly into the shower base. However, a shower tile floor is more difficult to install than a shower pan.

Yes, it’s possible to cut tile without a wet saw; instead, you can use an angle grinder, a glass cutter, a snap cutter, tile nippers, or a rotary tool with a tile-cutting blade. A manual tile cutter or snap cutter works well for the larger tiles that wet saws are typically used for, while smaller projects might just require nippers or a glass cutting wheel. If you’re working with large quantities of tile, however, power tools are best.
