Fantastic. Workers were very polite, professional and answered any and all questions that I had. They explained what they were going to do prior to doing it to ensure that I was getting what I wanted. When I got the estimate it was a very informational discussion and I was given multiple options to accomplish what I was wanting. It was nice to be able to have a choice. In addition, I was wanting to add something that didn't make good sense to them, they explained why it wasn't the best way to do it and explained the cost of it an other options.

Everything seemed to go well. They spent 5 days installing my high efficiency gas furnace, heat pump, and zoning system. The installer, Dave, explained everything very well. It was very expensive, but the equipment was fairly high end. A few years later, though, we discovered that the zoning system had been wired wrong for about five years. It was not discovered even though it had been serviced every year regularly. The zoning system was preventing heat from getting into the proper rooms at the proper times because it was wired improperly. Also, a year after it was installed, plastic shards from the installation got jammed into the condensation pump, causing my furnace to shut down.
Response from Ed's Heating Cooling Plumbing Electric

"We appreciate your business and want to thank you for your feedback. Going through the many work orders we have on file for your home, we don't show a work order in reference to the zoning system being wired incorrectly. However, we were able to locate two work orders in reference to zoning and both were for a stuck damper motor on zone 3. The first work order was dated 2/2/16, when the issue was diagnosed, and the second was dated 2/10/16, when the motor was replaced. I do see where there was an issue with plastic becoming lodged in the condensate pump, which we replaced for you at no charge. We strive to make things right when there is something wrong and will continue to do so should an issue arise again. Thank you for your trust and allowing us to serve you. If you have any further questions or concerns, we look forward to hearing from you. We can be reached at (937) 667-6713."

The plumber from Ed's came out. He said the water was coming out because my kitchen drain/garbage disposal was clogged. He did not have a kitchen drain snake on his truck. He said I should have told him to bring one out. He charged me $98. for a diagnostic fee, and then called their subcontractor to come out to snake my drain. While the subcontractor was out, I had him snake my main drain in the basement as well as the kitchen sink drain. Ed's sent me a bill for $300. in addition to the $98. diagnostic fee. I called and complained to Joyce. She said that they sub out all of their drain snaking business. I would say that they are not in the plumbing business if they don't carry simple kitchen and bathroom sink drain snakes on their trucks and won't snake a drain, because many plumbing problems may come down to a clogged drain. Joyce said I could deduct the diagnostic fee from my bill.
Response from Ed's Heating Cooling Plumbing Electric

"Thank you for your review. Receiving feedback from our customers is our greatest tool to moving forward and we appreciate that you took the time to tell us how you feel. I'm sorry that you weren't fully satisfied during the time our plumber was in your home, and will strive to be better in the future. We do subcontract our drain cleanings, and do so for a variety of reasons, but mainly it is so we can always have our more experienced plumbers available to resolve specialized plumbing issues and have drain cleaners available for drain cleaning. Given that we do subcontract these calls, you are correct that our plumbers don't typically carry drain equipment with them unless specifically requested. At the time we received your call for work, we were told that a handy man had installed a new garbage disposal, and as a result the sink and faucet became loose and that the drain was leaking as a result. So when our plumber discovered that there was actually a backed up drain issue, we promptly dispatched our drain cleaners to your location. I do see where we did credit back the diagnostic fee once we received your concerns, as we take customer concerns seriously. I'm sorry for the miscommunication. If you have any further questions or concerns we look forward to hearing from you. We can be reached at (937) 667-6713."

It went well. My furnace was installed in 1999, but the contractor found that my furnace was in good working order and that it would not be necessary to replace it. I hadn't had my ductwork cleaned in two years and it clearly needed it. This was money well worth spending. An annual maintenance agreement is available (for $256) and offers two free maintenance calls per year and discounts on any other work performed (e.g., duct cleaning).

We give them our highest recommendation. Each person on their team—and I spoke with at least 5 workers—was polite, knowledgeable, articulate, friendly, helpful, cheerful, hardworking and respectful of our stuff. (Their clean-up was incredibly thorough!) The project manager, J.L., was especially terrific. This was a big project, yet most of it was completed in a single day (ductwork was finished on day 2). And scheduling was a snap: since they worked so efficiently, they have a quick turnaround time. We only waited 10 days to begin work. And of all the bids I got from the “A” list on AngiesList, Ed’s was by far the fairest. I don’t mean only that their price was the lowest, but also that they didn’t try to sell us a bigger or fancier system than we needed. (The project manager kept talking me down to what was most reasonable for our situation.) What we got is just right. We feel very fortunate to have picked Ed’s!

I have an older house that had electric boiler heat and no AC. To try and make the energy bills lower and comfort level higher, we decided to put in a whole new system. I talked to 3 companys in the area and felt Ed's had a good handle on what we needed. They work with Bryant products which I am comfortable with. We chose a higher end model for its efficiency and reliability, cost was higher than I like but what isn't these days. The install took about 5 days but they had plenty of help to get the job done. My sump failed in the middle of all this and Eds was able to replace that on the same day which was a great relief. Its been running now for about a month and everything is working fine. I would highly recommend Ed's for the work you need done.

Electrician damaged the ceiling when running wires to the new unit. Ed's ordered replacement acoustic tile (took some time to get an exact match). They came out and replaced the tiles professionally. Did need to repaint to match the old tiles.

It was perfect. They were able to give me enough information. They looked for other problems and gave me solutions for those problems. They cleaned up after themselves and if they broke anything they fixed it at no cost to me. They were very professional and I would definitely hire again if needed. They come highly recommended

Scheduled appointment thru Erika for 8-9 Am Friday. Friday at 8:20AM, no call, no electrician. Called Ed's and Jessica answered and told me they had a scheduling change and my new time was 10-12pm. I explained this wouldn't work, I had other workers coming today. I also let her know this doesn't bode well as a first time customer-to change my time and no one notified me. Jessica told me they would switch another appointment and they would still be here within the 8-9 timeframe. At 9:05 "Ron" called to ask about my issue and said he would be in 15 to 20 minutes. At 9:40AM Ron arrived. After installing new receptacle stove wouldn't power on. Ron thought it must be a bad breaker. Said he wished he'd checked that first-when he actually did check out the breaker box when we powered it off to do the work. He was cutting drywall to move the plug ( better placement he said) and he said "I'm too lazy to go get the proper tools from my truck". At $98/hour this is inexcusable unprofessionalism. Ron did not have any replacement breakers on his truck (this is an electrician, mind you) and had to hunt one down via Do it or Lowes. He left the house for an hour. He returned and had breaker replaced and was done in 6 minutes. When he brought the bill in I was shocked. It was for $175. When I asked him to break it down-how much for parts and labor he balked and got defensive and never would answer me! I was quoted "$98.00 for a Service call plus parts" Ron stated he begins to charge the customer the moment he leaves the shop and charges mileage and time between. My issue was first, I was misquoted, 2nd, Ron would not break down the bill -it was blatant he had padded the bill and when asked about breaking it down, he said what did you think it would be"? I said $130 for labor and parts -including my $10 off Service call fee from Angie's List. I called him on the fact that as an Electrician, he should have had breakers on his truck, he agreed and said he should have. I was being penalized and overcharged for him not stocking his supplies! I do not feel confident that he did thorough work (he said his voltmeter wasn't long enough to read the receptacle- that he needed a new one & then the comment about being too lazy to go get proper tools), nor was the $175 charge justified! Will never hire again, and will never refer to friends and neighbors. Concerning punctuality, I found it VERY telling that he stated "our customers don't care if we are running late ever". Obviously this is an ongoing issue.

I had my hot tub delivered on a Tuesday but due to work I had been unable to call around to find an electrician for hook up. On Wednesday I began calling electricians, most could not do it or stated they would charge extra to complete the work. I called Ed's Electric and a friendly, professional, and helpful individual answered the phone. She scheduled me for the next day, no problems. Stan (technician) called me later in the day to give me an estimate for the job, between $600-$800, and to let me know the job would require two technicians. Both technicians arrived right on time, were professional, friendly, and helpful. They did an excellent job, precise and neat, and cleaned up after themselves. The job came in at $800, due to the distance from the hot tub to the electrical box and about what I expected. In addition to wiring the hot tub, the technicians filled the tub (which involved turning on our outside water and hooking up a hose), made sure everything was properly working, and since one of the technicians owns a tub went over maintenance, care, and tips! They definitely went above and beyond. I will definitely hire again!

My big issue with Ed?s Heating and Plumbing is the fact that I called Mike the service manager to get an idea of what it would
cost to have them install and new sump pump system that I purchased. Mike told me that they charge $98/hour and that a simple sump pump installation would not take more than an hour.  I went on further to confirm by asking ?so I would be looking at right around $100 total to have this system installed? his response was ?yes that is correct?.  That seemed totally fair to me so I hired
them.  They sent a plumber out a week later and was very helpful and informative ? great experience with the plumber.  He was able to install my system within an hour, and when I got my bill it was for $228 ($218 after the Angies list discount).  When I asked the guy why my bill was so expensive, and that I was quoted $98, he explained that the $98 was just the service call to have him come out, and the other $128 was for the parts and labor.  Now I provided all the parts, the only part they provided was a silent check valve which cost between $10-20 depending where you buy it.   I wasn?t going to argue with the plumber who just completed the work, so I wrote him a check.  When I called Mike to see what the deal was, he changed his story and basically told me this is the correct charge.  So just a heads up to anyone that wants to have a sump pump installed, I advise you to look elsewhere unless you think paying someone $230 to install a sumppump within an hour is in line.  I?m not one to complain about money, but when
you get quoted one price by the plumbing manager, and then its more than double that, I have an issue.  And that?s what Angies list is for.
