"After booking on Angie's list I knew I was getting a professional..But I had a bunch of questions racing through my head.. 1. Can I trust him? 2. Can I leave him in the house alone? 3. Will he be creepy? 4. I need to co-habitat with him for 2 days.... Does he have a personality?? So, when I opened the door and met Paul.. All my worries went away.... Paul, was amazing!!!! He was professional Courteous Hard working Creative And he has a PERSONALITY!!! Paul is nice, he is funny, I have to admit my kids and I miss him:) In regards to his work????A Perfectionist!!! "I initially purchased a "Big Deal" for painting a few small exterior areas. Later that summer, following a city home inspection, I hired Kiss Coatings to paint the remainder of the house Kiss Coatings did a thorough job and were respectful when it came to communicating and cleaning up. However, they promised to return the following summer to do any necessary touch-up painting, which they did not do. I sent repeated messages to ask them to follow through on a couple of areas but I never received a response."

"I removed old carpet and padding from the living and dining rooms. The hardwood flooring had beautiful grain and character, but also a lot of damage. Some of the wood grain was raised and there were a lot of stains, some of which were black. I thought it might be a lost cause, but contacted Teppo Interiors through Angie's List for an opinion on refinishing and an estimate.
Kevin Teppo described the process and what results I could realistically expect. It wasn't a lost cause, but it would not be like new either. He was more optimistic about the results than I. He pointed out the crack in the ceiling and that there was no quarter-round on the woodwork, both of which his crew could take care of. There was no pressure to sign or up-selling. I appreciated that.
They were able to start on the job earlier than expected, which was perfect. I removed everything from both rooms.
Evening before sanding: They taped and plastered the ceiling crack. I applied two coats of paint. That was not expected of me but I had the time. It was one less thing for them to do the next morning.
Day 1: Three man crew arrived on time, sanded the floors and applied the walnut stain. I was warned about the fumes, so I boarded my dog for this time frame. The doorways were sealed with plastic to keep the fumes contained as well as possible.
Day 2-4: Sanding and a coat of polyurethane, 3 coats total. The crew arrived on time and were very efficient and polite.
Day 5: Quarter-round was installed. They moved the dining room table and TV stand back into the rooms. Job complete.

Yes, many types of peel-and-stick wallpaper can be used in bathrooms, especially those made of vinyl or polyester. However, its success depends heavily on the level of moisture and ventilation. In bathrooms with good ventilation, such as those with fans, it can be a durable option. Peel-and-stick wallpaper may not adhere as well as traditional wallpaper in very humid conditions. For bathrooms that see a lot of moisture, like a kids' bathroom or a full bath with a steamy shower and poor ventilation, even high-quality peel-and-stick wallpaper is likely to peel over time.

If you can already see the texture of the existing wallpaper through the layer of paint, then the texture could also come through the new layer of wallpaper. If that’s the aesthetic you want, then proceed. But if you want a smoother surface, you should either strip off the existing paint and wallpaper or hang a layer of liner paper before proceeding.

There can be too much of a good thing when it comes to accent walls, so avoid creating one in every room in your house. Some rooms, like bathrooms and kitchens, don’t naturally lend themselves to accent walls, so it’s best to skip them there. Of course, your home should reflect your own sense of style, so if accent walls in multiple rooms appeal to you, there’s no hard-and-fast rule forbidding it.

If you need a stronger magnetic surface, or you need to use a different type of paint in the room (like waterproof paint in a damp basement), there are other accessible options. You could fit a steel panel over the wall, try magnetic wallpaper, or apply chalk paint instead. 

If you want an inexpensive shortcut, hang a pinboard or chalkboard on your wall. These removable options are ideal if you’re a renter who can’t repaint or plan to move in the near future.

Painting over wallpaper is an efficient way to cover it if it’s in decent shape. Before painting over wallpaper, make sure the surface is clean and smooth. You may have to remove minor problem areas, such as lifted seams or small peels, with a sheetrock knife or putty knife. Add a latex- or oil-based primer to keep moisture at bay before painting. You’ll likely need two coats of paint to cover the area.
