"This is the review. Let me know this is good before I send Prompt and on time service for the asbestos removal along with safe and proper poly containment. Also 3rd party testing confirmed safe air test. The workers were in suits, masks and had ASD machines running very professional and highly recommended for any asbestos work! We are very pleased the cleanup was nice, with no debris . I would definitely hire again if needed"

"My wife and I hired Property Pro to conduct a house inspection during the construction of our new home. We met Justin and he came out several different times during the building phase because we wanted to make sure work was being done properly. Justin was always very professional and honest with his assessment. During one of the inspections he noticed a large crack in the foundation wall and we were immediately able to get it fixed. I believe had he not noticed it, it would have been easily covered up by the contractor. Justin took his time and was meticulous during each visit. He has even remained in contact since the completion of the build to make sure we have had no issues. Most recently we used him again to complete Radon Testing. Again, he was professional, arrived when he said he would be here and then explained the entire process/results when completed. Would definitely recommend Justin to anyone and we will definitely be using his services again as we make upgrades in the house."

Radon Detection and Reduction questions, answered by experts

Ideally, no one will live in a house with elevated radon levels, as prolonged exposure increases the risk of serious health issues like lung cancer. However, homes with radon can be made safe through mitigation systems, such as active soil depressurization. Testing for radon regularly and addressing high levels helps ensure a safe living environment.

There are steps you can take as a homeowner to remediate radon yourself. While a radon reduction professional can make the biggest impact in your home, you can make efforts to improve radon levels on your own by sealing cracks, increasing ventilation, and testing for radon regularly.

Radon is the number one non-smoking cause of lung cancer in the United States, but it can cause some other concerning side effects in the meantime. If you have a raspy voice, chest pains, trouble breathing, difficulty swallowing, or any of the above, don’t hesitate to perform radon testing and install a mitigation system as soon as possible.

No, air purifiers are not an effective way to reduce or remove radon. Radon is a radioactive, inert gas that cannot be filtered by standard air purifiers, which are designed to capture particulates like dust and mold. While an air purifier can improve indoor air quality by removing other pollutants, it should not be relied upon for radon. The only effective solution for high radon levels is a dedicated radon mitigation system.

While DIY testing is possible, abatement generally requires professional installation to ensure efficacy and meet safety standards.
