He performed a thorough inspection on what was causing the water to sit in the crawlspace and went over what would be required to keep the moisture and water from affecting the structural integrity of the house. While we did not end up purchasing the home, we greatly appreciated his willingness to come down and do an inspection and give us an estimate. They were recommended by my stepdad who had them do a crawlspace encapsulation on his house. He said they perform first class workmanship and were professional. "We were really impressed by and grateful for how comprehensive the inspection was and how helpful his explanations were. He took multiple pictures and generated an elevation diagram. He did a great job explaining why the current sump pump was insufficient and what improvements should be made. He also walked around the exterior of the house to inspect it for any signs of foundation issues, and he spotted a tiny crack in the brick that was hard to see--that's how thorough he was!  He explained what we should be concerned about and what was due to normal aging.

When he finished his inspection, he set up a mobile office with a laptop and printer on the kitchen counter.  He was able to complete the report on the spot and provided the hard copy of his report before he left.

"Jason took our stairs to the basement that were a tiny spiral mid evil type stair case and made them so amazing. He also took out 7 layers of flooring in our kitchen and laid new real wood to match our current wood floor. He also drove out of his way to pick up our new granite. He came back a couple years later and redid our entire front porch and did some electrical and other odd and end jobs. He is an honest man and Works very hard."

"The contracted the work off to a third party. Jon took longer than expected. The windows was installed pretty good from the looks. Communication could have been better with knowing the job will take longer and what types of trims I wanted for the windows. As the contractor that was hired for this job by this company. Did a good job with putting up decent trim. As for the new windows they look great. I purchased the myself and hired sentri homes to install them. I will need to have a my siding on my house redone to be closer to the new windows so the gaps are not so obvious. That was not expected at first. But from old storm windows and not knowing how they were put in originally. There was some unknown things that was learned from the job being completed. I will have the siding of the house slightly done to match really good for what I wanted later on. My only concern is better communication with sentri homes. Overall they were great when I did talk to them."

"Good. CHW connected us with MJ Services for an appointment. MJ Services technician came to the house on the morning of the appointment date, assessed, found and reported the broken equipment. He placed a temporary solution to keep the house warm during Christmas break while we waited for the parts to come in. In the afternoon, CHW sent me a note that the equipment was ordered and provided an estimated delivery date, and arranged a follow up appointment to replace the broken part."

"I wanted to follow up my earlier post now that the job has been completed. The work to be done, our house was built in 1968 and there was a gap between the basement wall and the foundation that needed to be filled. We also needed to encapsulate the space. We were in the process of selling our home, and this issue came up in the home inspection. As anyone who has bought or sold a home this summer knows, we found out all the contracting firms are booked solid. We offered to work with the buyer, making repairs after close via escrow, but the buyer rejected and the offer was withdrawn. We decided to go through with the repairs recommended in the inspection report, including the work listed for the crawl space before relisting. We were concerned we would end up in the same situation, unable to make repairs in the inspection report. We had already purchased our new home and were carrying two mortgage payments. Another delay to close would be expensive. As mentioned earlier, Marty from Advantage Restoration was able to inspect and provide us an estimate for the work needed within days of our call. The owner of the Advantage, Mike Bird, called me directly to work out the schedule. Advantage Restoration was booked up, but our job was a smaller one, so they were able to fit our project between other projects. The work was started at the scheduled date and was completed in 2 days, as estimated. All work was done as specified on the estimate, and the final cost matched the estimated cost. The work itself looked great. The work crew explained the work and each step in the process to completion. The final result, we relisted the house and received a new offer. After inspection, there were no remediation items listed by the buyer, including the crawl space, and we are moving straight to closing. Mission accomplished!
